So my g/f picked up a Moto Spice from Mobilicity, but was dissapointed with the crap service, and wifi freezing etc, So I got it unlocked and now use it with Fido.

A few things I learned.

1. has the GSM bands to work with Fido, Rogers, or any other GSM provider, even though Mobilicity, and a few unlockers told me it wouldn't, in spite of me pointing out the phones specs.

2.After the unlock, it won't automatically register with your network. (or it didn't for me) The fix for me, was to go into Settings>Wireless and Networks>Mobile Networks>Operator Selection and from the list (for me it populated with WIND, Mobilicity, and Rogers. Since I am with Fido, I chose Rogers) If it takes more than one try, don't worry it took me two tries.

So feel free to use your Android Motorola with the GSM provider of your choice, for $200 no contract, it is a great deal.

So i got a motorola spice just yesterday and unlocked it to Fido.
I was wondering if you have gotten any problems thus far?

For me, i cant seem to get the caller ID going. Im getting "Unknown" or "pay phone" instead of their name and its frustrating.

Not only that, but how do i save contacts to SIM or PHONE?

click 'contacts' icon, then 'touch press' the applications button the one with little four boxes a menu will spring up. select 'manage sim' then select 'import sim card'. when you are done importing all your contacts. To view your contacts list, 'touch press the 'search' button. it is the 'Q' looking one. Then start to type the name of the contact you want it will be displayed. NOTE: make sure that in your search options, you have selected 'contacts list to be searched'. To do that, go to settings > search > searchable options. Gud luck.

I have the exact same situation, I am with mobilicity and have the same phone, but the service sucks so I am going to change to fido in coming month.
Would you please tell me how did you unblock your phone?
Did you do it after buying the new sim card from fido or before?
What do you mean by it has the GSM bands?
Is there anything else I would better to know before unblocking it ?

guide me to use codes to unlock the mobile i got the codes from here *************** here they ask
the following details they are mobile model,country and the network which locks your mobile ,
imei number of the mobile .finally they will send the codes to unlock the mobile.
