Anyone know how to stop or go around the fact that a single picture message gets sent as a slide show? It's not that big of a deal just one of those little nuances I'd like to tweak... Ok well main reason being on some phones you'd have to save the slide show after it plays just to be able to view it and zoom etc... Thanks

yup, I just realized this the other day when I sent a pic to my wife. I didnt bother to check on it though. Maybe there is a way to change the setting. I will check later..

Yeah this really irritated me as well. Could not find a way to fix it in the settings. My "work around" was downloading "Handcent" messaging from the app market. Problem solved. It has way more option ayhow.

if i can actually send an MMS it works. really irritated the phone will send them after a battery pull but not after a little.

I think it is... I actually like i better now that I have all the settings the way i want. It'll take a little while to get all the settings the way you want them but then again that's what so good about it... customized messaging. give it a shot... I think you'll like it. Make sure to turn off your original text app or you'll get duplicates though.

I found the reason for MMS slideshow and was able to recreate it multiple times.

Using iPhone 4 I created message with photo in this order:
1. Typed text
2. Inserted picture (regardless from photo gallery or take it while crating a message)
3. Press Send.

The message comes as slide show.

If I create message with photo in this order:
1. Inserted picture (regardless from photo gallery or take it while crating a message)
2. Typed text
3. Pressed Send.

The message comes as image with text below.

I don't know if this is intentional or not. I asked my wife to remember to attach image first, then type text. If she forgets, I will remind her.

I downloaded and installed Handcent and I'm still having the same issue. anything sent from email or downloaded from a source are still saved as slide show. Is there a setting I'm missing in the Handcent options? Pics taken and sent from a phone are fine.

any help will be highly appreciated. thanks
