Can the Nexus 10 play movies directly from a flashdrive with a micro USB OTG adaptor? Or do you have to download/import the movies from the flash drive to the Nexus 10's memory first? I'm wondering if you have a Nexus 10 that's "full", do you need to free up memory before watching a new movie, or does the adaptor and flashdrive truly act as if it's expanded memory? Thank you.

As far as i know you need an app called nexus media importer to do this without root ... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.homeysoft.nexususb.importer however it will only read from the usb drive and not write to it, if you want to write to the usb drive you will need to be rooted and use an app called stickmount ... https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=eu.chainfire.stickmount
