Don't you hate the waiting? Watching The AOKP Merged Changelog and waiting for your device to be updated? A cool feature, a fix for an error you have? Well I do!
So I decided to build my own nightlies
ROM IS NOW AVAILABLE VIA THE GOO MANAGER APP!!
To see what changes have been made, go to the Official AOKP Changelog. The builds will incorporate all changes up to the time of the build. I plan (spoken: will try) on building these every time there is a big change for the N4 or every 4 or 5 days... maybe more often if I can get some scripts going. If the team doesn't add any changes then obviously I won't build.
All ROMS Have:
CMFileManager
Chronus (cLock)
Swipe to Switch (Phones only)
GooManager
NovaLauncher
AdFree
DashClock
AS ALWAYS USE AT YOUR OWN RISK. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE IF YOU DAMAGE YOUR DEVICE.
That being said, I use these on my device so...
It is always a good idea to have a Full Nandroid saved in case something goes wrong. That said I generally keep a full Nandroid (updated about once a week) and prior to flashing a nightly I make a data only Nandroid, replacing the previous data only Nandroid I made. So I do this:
Is it possible to enable toggles in the notification drop down? I know they are there in the menu in the drop down, just wondering if it is possible to get them on the main notification area. So far that is the only thing compelling me to go back to cm10.
My battery lasted quite well today. Not sure if it was because I was so busy I didn't have time to use my nexus much or what.
Tonight when I got home from cub scouts WiFi wouldn't fully connect, it kept obtaining ip then disconnect then connect but drop right away. I did try and forget and then reconnect. Finally rebooted into recovery and wiped cache. After that it was fine.

As of now, no way to get toggles in notifications... I'll look into kanging it for you. As for the Wi-Fi... it's a known android 4.2 issue... it should be fixed soon. Sorry about that. I think I can do the toggles if I can find them on CM's github repo. You know you can set the toggles to come down by swiping down on the right side of the screen....
I'm still learning jellybean. I have ICS on my Asus Transformer. But my old mobile had Gingerbread.
Another question, I am on T-Mobile with my N4 and in the power toggles there is LTE on/off and 2g on/off. Is there a way to keep 3g on but not the 4g (that is the LTE?) but not revert to 2g? (I am coming from Virgin mobile where we had 2 speeds slow and no connection, so anything outside 3g and 1x are a mystery.)

OK... T-Mobile doesn't have LTE, so no worries about that. Just leave it standard and you'll be on 3g and 3g+ (H & H+). If you toggle the 2g you'll be on T-Mobile's EDGE network witch is like 2g. Additionally if you go to ROMControl, status bar toggles, you'll see an option for fast toggles... check it. That enables right side (or left if you adjust it) pull down for the toggles.
Is there any workaround for the WiFi failing to connect short of a reboot?
And is there a way to toggle H+ off leaving H on? Or is there no more battery drain on H+ than H?
Soon I'll update the ROM to 4.2.2 that should help the Wi-Fi issues, they're known Google 4.2.1 issues... Franco Francisco's (XDA) N4 test kernel r80 is already at 4.2.2 and has a lot less issues with Wi-Fi, also has really good battery life. Can't turn off h+ to be on h only... but h+ generally only applies with good signal, and better signal strength means better battery life.

Anyone having problems with the phone on this ROM? A couple times today at work I thought I heard my ringtone, but when I checked my call log there were none missed. Then my boss called me while I was holding the phone it cut off the call before the first ring finished, it also gave a crash notice for com.android.phone. He called back right away and this time it kept ringing but as soon as I touched Okay on the crash window it cut off the call.
I experimented with my home phone tonight and out of 5 calls 3 gave a partial ring and then ended the call no notifications. 2 kept ringing but gave the crash window, cleared it once and it ended the call. The second time I hung up the house phone and it cleared the window when the call disconnected.
[additional]I just looked at the call log, both calls from my boss were in the log. None of the 5 calls from the home phone are there.
I froze the app Current Caller wondering if that might be the problem. Still doing it. I tried calling out from my Nexus, when I hung up the house phone I got the error.[/additional]

Sorry about that! AOKP had a conflict. Newest build up in cherry picks folder dated 19th... errors should be fixed!

I'm a long time CM user and recently (last year or so, off and on) a PA 3.0 user. I currently am using PA and I really like a lot of the features, especially PIE. There is one thing that has always bothered me about Android and I'm wondering if AOKP fixes it.
1. I am picky about my notification bar. I know Bluetooth is on (it always is) so I really don't want to see the Bluetooth symbol when I'm not connected to anything. Can I hide it with AOKP??
Some other questions:
2. Can I have different wallpaper on my lockscreen and homescreen?
3. Can I use PIE and hide the nav bar?
4. Can I customize the toggles and layout of the settings pane in the notification drop down?
5. Can I hide other things like the clock or battery in the notification bar?

2. Yes
3. Yes, PIE is available in the XDA forums
4. Yes
5. Yes
I hope that answered your questions

Ok, I'm downloading now. Does the Franco Kernel make a big difference?
Also, I've been looking but can't find the 4.2.1 radio anywhere. Do you happen to have a Zip for it, I've been have connectivity problems since updating to the newest radio?

So I've got everything set up and everything seems to be running great so far. I can not find the setting to change the lockscreen wallpaper anywhere though??

Cool, I'll update probably tomorrow.
I've had one issue so far. Twice now while streaming music over Bluetooth the phone has frozen and the screen wouldn't even turn on. I had to hold the power button until I rebooted.
Other than that so far everything has been running great, really enjoying it.

Hmm, I've never had that issue, I'll look into it... one issue with the lock screen wallpaper right now we're trying to fix, if you have a transparency set on nav and status bars the image behind is the home screen not the lock screen wallpaper... hopefully it'll get fixed soon. The Rom dated the 25th is the newest. Cheers

Cool, I keep the nav bar non transparent anyways.
I've narrowed down the bug a little more. When I'm streaming music on Bluetooth the problem occurs when there is a notification. I'm just unable to turn the screen on at all. I can still adjust the volume or skip tracks using the volume button. When Bluetooth disconnects the screen will come on and everything is normal.

I had a major issue when updating today. I was unable to update without a factory reset. Normally when I update a ROM without changing ROMs (CM, PA, etc) I just flash the ROM, gapps, wipe cache and dalvik, and reboot. I tried that when I updated this ROM and couldn't get past the setup screen.
Other than this method just takes too long I can not do a lot of factory resets. Every time I do a factory reset my bank looks at my phone as a different phone. If I do 2 more factory resets I will be unable to receive push notifications from my bank for several months.

My bank does that too. When you say the setup screen, do you mean the unicorn. Initiating swagger? Usually that means a bad download. This one installed with dirty flash just fine for me... please let me know if you have other issues like this... sorry for the trouble.

No, it booted ok, then the setup screen where you initially enter your google account came up. Tried it a couple times and it was the same result each time. Good to know that you dirty flashed and it worked ok, hopefully I'll have a better result next time.
I've got everything set up again now and it all is working good now.
Is there a way to get mobile data toggle into the quick buttons? Toggle LTE and toggle 2g both off at the same time used to work, but now if they're both off it actually turns them on. (I am not yet using the newest version, but the version after I had the telephony problem)

The signal strength toggle is the mobile data toggle.

Since I flashed the 25th ROM yesterday I have had my phone lock up twice where I had to hold the power button to force a reboot. Have you had any other reports?
Maybe a different kernel would help? I haven't flashed a different kernel yet on this phone at all.
I am going to try stock for a few days to see if that has any problems.

Yes, it could be the kernel... I always use Franco kernel so, I guess I never experienced this... I'll look into a new kernel source.

Ok, are you still going to recommend the Franco kernel? I flashed it this morning and at some point my SMS stopped working (I could send but not receive) after a reboot it was working fine again.

Had that same problem too for the entire weekend, but didn't realize it until Monday.

Yes, I really like Franco. Right now I'm rebuilding my build directory.. so new build will have to wait.

I'm on Tmobile. I didn't know that I was missing messages until my wife called me and asked me why I hadn't responded to her in a couple hours. I checked Google Voice, all the messages where there. After the reboot all the messages showed up at once.

Ok... got the build issue figured out.. mms issues should be fixed. I have a poor internet connection so upload will take a while but... New build has: the usual plus Swype beta and I kept nova launcher even though AOKP dropped it.

Is there a way to flash a ROM without all the extra app? Normally I just freeze or delete, but I already have Nova, DashClock, and SuperSU and want to keep the market ones so they stay up to date?
