Received mine in the mail a few hours ago, been dealing with AT&T since. Having issues receiving text messages from my friends with iPhones (I came from the 4S). I spoke with AT&T and they said my number is no longer associated with the iPhone, so I dunno whats going on. Might be taking a long time to get my number off the iCloud servers. If its not fixed by Monday I'll call Apple.

Luckily the phone survived the trip, the box isn't that big and the UPS guy just chucked it on the ground by my door. That and it was damn near frozen when I got it with these single digit temps we had today.

Started ordering my N4 yesterday through wirefly, had to go to work and couldn't finish the required information to start a t-mo contract and port my number, but finished it all today. I already have a fed ex tracking number, and fed ex shows its in transit. I was just blown away it was still in stock a few days later.

I just ordered mine from Google Play! The 16GB version. It says 1-2 weeks shipping in the site but getting excited that people is getting it before that.

On a side note, I currently have a LG Connect 4G (MS840). Anyone have any idea of how much of a difference will I feel with this new phone? In terms of response?

I think you're having an iMessage issue. Did you turn off iMessage on your iPhone? I think it's still grabbing texts from iPhones as iMessages instead of texts.

I disabled iMessage on my iPhone and unchecked my number on all the rest of my iOS devices, it just took a really long time to update on the iCloud servers. Its fixed now.

Not that I'd care that much, given that price

The phone is stock jelly bean with no branding. Did come with a micro SIM which I swapped to straight away. Updated, rooted, poetic bumper... sorted!

Got my Nexus 4 today after ordering Saturday. Truly pleased. Liked my Galaxy S3 but wanted to be assured of updates. Got used to that from being longtime iPhone user.

I just ordered mine and my wife's yesterday! It's still "Pending"

"Feb 6 - Google Inc. received your order"

I'm trying to work but I keep going back and checking.... I know I could be waiting as much as 2-3 weeks.... but I'm so excited to finally be done with my dying Evo 4G!

I've just had the shipping notice for the second one I ordered yesterday. TNT lost the first one and as soon as Google had nuked it, yup, it turned up.

Wasn't going to bother ordering again but why not. So hopefully it'll appear next week at some point.

Amazingly enough my replacement turned up at 11:00 this morning. Loving it. Seems snappier than my S3.

Ordered one today, few hours later noticed the 16gb version is only $50 more, tried to cancel my order but no dice, called them said I could just refuse the delivery and get refunded I dont want to do that though because 1 I want the phone soon as possible and 2 without tying up an extra $400 it will be quite a while before the order can be here.
I hope they are quick as some people have seen.

I ordered a 16 gig one on the 8th . my shipping estimate is the 28th . I also ordered a bumper. I can't wait until it gets here. I also ordered 2 cases, some screen protectors, and a wireless charging for pad from amazon. I hope everything comes before I get her phone so I can protect it from day one. I would love to keep it naked, but and soooo worried about all the glass.

Seriously. I ordered mine Feb 6 and all I know is that it's still "Pending". And the pending charge on my bank has disappeared. I emailed to make sure nothing was wrong with the order and they said everything is fine, my order "has gone through to the chargeable state" and that my order "will be processed in 2-3 weeks" -_- there are people who ordered theirs after me and they already have a tracking number.

Seems like it's been a pretty common occurrence. What on earth is happening, hard to say.

It seems a pretty shady way to do business though, to push some through while others have to wait. I'm curious to what factors come into play where they choose to ship one and not another when these people purchased on the same day. Have seen that happen all over the internet. Lots are getting theirs within 2-3 days whereas others are having to wait weeks and ordered SOONER. Some are receiving theirs before even shipping emails. A confusing mess for the customers, one they need to sort out.

Just ordered mine and I must say I'm pretty upset that Google charges us for 2 day shipping, yet I could be waiting for weeks to even get my phone shipped.

They charged me for 2 day on my Nexus 7 as well and it took almost a week to get.

I'm thinking about getting the N4 but not too soon. What I would like to know, does everybody root theirs? Does it run very good without rooting? Is it best to root or doesn't make much difference?

I'm not into rooting at this time but would like to hear your opinions.

Thnx.

I've never rooted any android phone I've had but could see the attraction due to getting rid of all the manufacturers apps ect. With this phone I'm not sure of the advantage to be honest. Plus I'm scared to lol.

This phone runs quite smoothly without any software tweaks. It also runs a very high end game demo with the unreal 3 engine at near the full 61 frames per second.
For the most part, benefits of rooting are to enable use of apps that take advantage of root access, and manual software tweaks. Such apps could let you customize your experience further, or take control of certain software enhancements.
Beyond rooting, there's installing, or flashing, custom ROMs and kernels. These allow you to take customization even further, and take some control over hardware limits and performance.

I got a sim cutter for 3 bucks on Amazon so I could cut my regular sim down to a micro sim, and it works fine.

I cut my sim down with an x-acto. No problems here.

I sign up for UPS alert and got email that my package is coming tomorrow.

Go to Google Play store to see your shipping status. Its at the bottom left. Do not use the confirmation email link. It doesnt give u much info.

Just thought I'd join and say hi. Ordered nexus 4 , got it two days later in UK. Very pleased with it. Went from Nokia 5800 to HTC desire Overwelmingly pleased. Then anti climaxed with HTC sensation XE. Have renewed my android joy with this nexus. Bought from past store, intend to go on sim only deal when contract is up. Have sold sensation for £90 will be about £15 a month better off with the sim only. Happy days.

Ordered mine on 2/16 and received it today. No info or emails at all from Google to indicate it was on it's way. Strange
