Laugh I got mine!

Picked it up from T-Mobile and unlocked the bootloader before I even left the parking lot. Now a quick initial setup, then I'm off to work. This thing is amazing!

BTW, posted from my Nexus 4

I'm on Tmobile. I got mine through my upgrade I had been saving which is why I picked it up in store this morning.

I haven't had much of a chance to test a whole lot on it since I only had it for a couple hours before work. I'll mess around with it more tonight and in the morning and try to post a good review of it tomorrow before I leave for work.

Here is something that I found though. If you use 3rd party music apps like Slacker radio, which is 99% of my music, the music controls now work and automatically appear on the lockscreen while listening to music. Very convenient.

Is it a true Nexus or does it have T-Mobile crapware on it? I would think it is a true Nexus, but would like to know.

It is exactly the same as the 16 GB one from Google play except it is locked to T-Mobile until you unlock it. They didn't pull a Verizon and put crapware on a nexus, the same as the last time they officially had a nexus.

It's kinda obnoxious that they locked it, but I guess it's better than having bloatware etc.

Locked in what sense? Like can't be rooted at all or is there a workaround?

Locked in this context usually means it can't be used on an alternate carrier.

I get it. Makes sense if you buy it subsidized they wouldn't want you to be able to ditch them unless you pay. I presume the $499 purchase would not be locked.

It is still locked, but they may give you the unlock code right away, I'm not sure though. But why would anyone ever pay $499 for a phone that is $350 full retail on Google Play... Idk

Congrats! How is the camera? Its one of the sticking points for me, I'm not looking for a major wow factor but I'm wanting something that is on par with today's tech. If you get a chance can you snap a few indoor (for low light) and some scenic shots?

I'll try to snap a few today, I haven't even got a chance to test the camera, but that is a very important thing on a phone for me also since it is the only camera I ever use

Just don't put on that skimpy swimsuit again and snap a few beefcake shots. I'm still paying for *that* therapy.

Seriously, if you do indoor low light, could you post one with flash on and one with it off? Much appreciated. I'd be testing right now if i had mine.

Question on a small issue that should have been changed when ICS launched: On the pattern lockscreen, are the circles still green? I personally feel like they should have made them blue to match the Holo theme. The green seems out of place, and it's one of the few things that ever stood out as out of place on 4.0 and above.

Yes they are still green. I agree, it seems out of place. Play store still has the green accents everywhere also.

No. Verizon is a CDMA carrier. The Nexus requires a GSM carrier.

like alfick said, no. It won't work on Sprint or Verizon (CDMA), but it will work on t-mobile or AT&T (GSM). Unfortunately it doesn't look like a CDMA Nexus 4 is in the pipeline.

After what Verizon did to the Gnex, I'm not surprised.

Qft. Is it really a nexus if you get updates 2 months later than everyone else?

I'm glad googles playing hardball. It sucks right now for Verizon and sprint users, but hopefully it'll kick em into gear

Yeah, Google won't be making that mistake again. Until the Nexus gets the same treatment as the iPhone, or until we can bring unlocked phones to Verizon, no more Nexus for us.

Yep, a lot of unhappy VZW/Nexus campers. I would love to see Google have such a demand for the N4 that Sprint/VZW doesn't have a choice but to keep the Nexus pure Google. Especially now that Google owns Motorola (mobile division).

Does the Tmobile version have bloatware compared to buying it directly from Google play?

The indoor seems a bit fuzzy but that may be because you are getting used to the shutter and whatnot.

What about movement pics? Sorry for asking so much about the camera but I have a 22 month old that just loves running around lol.

Yeah, that was the first time I used the camera at all. I haven't tried taking pictures of anything moving. I'll try to get some up in the next couple days (I'm working all weekend plus a few home projects so I'm pretty busy)

I've never used the One X, but IMHO the Nexus 4 is an upgrade from any phone, especially any HTC phone

I just talked to Tmobile, they are emailing me my unlock codes for my 2 Nexus 4's I just bought. After I SIM unlock my phone there will be 0 difference between mine and one from Google Play.

Everyone may not have the same results. I have been with Tmobile for a few years, have a family plan with 4 lines, have upgraded 3 phones this week, and have a new contract. Tmobile is really good about giving unlock codes, if you are a newer customer sometimes they make you wait a little while (a couple months), but you can still get your unlock codes pretty easily.

Sooooo, you're going to sell me (at cost) one of the Nexus 4's you just unlocked now?

Sure I'll sell it, everything has it's price. But, I guarantee you it will be no where near "at cost"

Can anyone who got theirs already verify that there is no signature required from UPS? I read one person post this but just want to be sure.
