Question How to move app icons into folder

I'm not able to consistently moving icons into folders. Lots of time, the icon and the folder are like magnets with the same pole; repelling each others. And there are time it just works. Can someone show me the trick?

If it truly is an icon for an app, it will highlight the folder you want to move it into, ot if you drop it on another app icon, it will create a folder. However if you are moving a widget or trying to drop a folder in a folder, they will jump to the closest free location.

The trick is to drag the icon to the center of the icon for the folder not to the edge. If you drag it to the edge then they oppose each other as you have experienced.
