Yay, got mine today, 1 week to the day from when I ordered it!

T-Mobile had my Virgin Mobile number xferred in seconds... no 24 hr wait.

It's beautiful
It's mine
It's gonna be a huge time sink this weekend!

I think I got extremely lucky with my Nexus 5 (White, 16GB.) I placed my order on December 2nd at 7:03PM. At first I thought that Google had make some mistake when they sent out a shipping confirmation only 9 hours after placing the order. However, UPS was at the door December 4th with my new Nexus 5. The same version of N5 now has a "Leave the warehouse in 3-4 weeks" message.

A similar incident happened with my Nexus 7 (2012), I bought it at Staples before they were supposed to have it out and had my N7 even before some of the people who preordered it.

They ship out of Louisville, Kentucky. You can select next day delivery if you want.

Ordered mine today, expected to come a week from now, upgrading from an LG Esteem, 1ghz single core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4.3 inch 480 x 800 screen with 217ppi. That's a HUGE upgrade for me

Very similar as Slickinator. Ordered one for me and one for the Mrs. I'm going from the HTC EVO Design: 1.2 GHz, 1 GB ROM, ~750 MB RAM. I thought it was pretty good last year when I got it...

Also switching from Boost to T-Mobile. The $30 plan should be just about perfect. We could stand the slow internet, but the occasional missed text message was the last straw.

We ordered two black 16GB phones on Dec. 9 and it says Dec 29 to leave warehouse...hopefully that moves up

Because the information you are getting is just scans. If you look closely, it was scanned in IL at 4am on the 11th. It has been on a plane and./or truck ever since. It is certainly possible, though I would expect an "out for delivery" scan to pop up soon. If not, it will get updated with an "exception" and it will show the new date, probably the 13th.

Ditching Verizon for T-Mobile to get the N5, contract is up the 15th. My N5 arrived last night, will be activating next Monday. Counting down the days.

Does anyone else constantly check their order status even though the date is still 2-3 weeks away, hoping for a miraculous bump in the date?

You should use Package Buddy, you can set it to notify you after any status update on your package and it has a map of where it was last scanned

Ordered white 32 gig version on Friday. Paid the extra $8 for next day shipping and got it on Monday. I also ordered the spigen white case for $10. I'm on the $50 tmo plan right now.

Yahtzee!

With processing and shipping it will have only been less than 3 days!

To all the people who are having to wait weeks, don't believe it entirely! I would have had to wait 3 days for processing (regional perhaps?) of course it took only 1 day.. I have a feeling once Google gets its bearings the wait time will be reduced

I'm planning on switching to some from of T-Mobile too. If this forum is any indication of trends, T-Mobile must be winning a TON of new customers with their new pricing. Which is good, it makes being on-contract look silly (unless you HAVE to have Verizon where you live, then I'm sorry).

I ordered a White 32gb version on the 12th coming from an iPhone 5S, should get here on the 17th even though it departed an hour away from me and I chose next day. >.<

I hope it's the revised one. >.<

Coming from an iPhone your going to be upset with the camera. Everything else is great!

4.4.2 is supposed to have fixed the camera problems. If you're coming from an iPhone, there will be some changes to learn but they should be manageable.

Lucky. Mines stuck in Fort Worth due to the storm from a week ago. They said they're about 16 trucks behind backlogged with about 32,000 packages. They apparently are using rental trucks and hiring more people so hopefully my package will come today or Monday. Still pretty peeved since if it would have been on time I would have had it in my hands about 2 days ago.

Oh well at least it's not lost.

I ordered my original Nexus 5 the very moment they were released, chose one day shipping and received it in just 6 days.

Ordered a second one for my wife earlier this week via one day shipping, it arrived in a lightning fast 3 days.

Kudos to Google for learning from last year.

The phones? I simply could not be happier

(Mine is Black, hers is White, both 32GB)

Woooooo! Just ordered my 32gb black Nexus 5 today. Selected next day shipping. May be too hopeful, but I'm hoping it processes and ships tomorrow for a Wednesday delivery (day off)! So pumped. Coming from a Galaxy Note 1. Looking very forward to no more AT&T bloat and a phone that is fast as lightning. The camera woes are a bummer... but I think I will manage okay.

Now to head over to AT&T to pick up that Nokia wireless charger on sale and time to hit Amazon to select a case (though I'll only use it for a month or so before I go naked).

PUMPED!

Cheers, everyone.

After waiting a few days and checking the Play store periodically, I became skeptical as to whether or not they had the black 32gb N5 readily in stock. Yesterday I decided to cancel my order and reorder a white 32gb around 3pm. My card was charged a few hours later. I received a shipment notice overnight and it's on the truck for delivery today!

Woo!

Well I didn't order my N5.

I browsed local classifieds and picked up a sealed 16gb black nexus 5 for $350.

Coming from an HTC one and I'm blown away - missed the stock feel from my gnex!

Thank you! It was a hard decision to let go of the HTC one but I couldn't be happier now that I have.

Heading out today to get some ghost armor put on the screen and possibly the body. Just need to find a good wallet style case and then I'll be set.

Pretty sure that model has the longest wait. I wouldn't worry unless that date comes and goes and still not shipped. Waiting is the hardest part...

I ordered three of them on the 23rd (for myself, wife, and daughter--we've leaving VZW ; my son already has an N5, so we're gonna be an N5 family) and it also says they'll leave the warehouse on January 5th.

Crossing fingers, too.

Just ordered mine from O2. Getting 32GB in black. Managed to haggle a little - Free phone instead of paying 30 up front
Upgrading from a HTC Sensation XE, had one last play with the N5 in a shop today, a quick check of the audio and video quality very impressed even in a fairly busy shop the speaker is excellent, video/screen quality is ace too!
Can't wait to get it!
