Nobody has the phone yet. It wasn't an invite or anything like before. Only The Verge does because they always go to the source, but it's not a real review.

Just ordered my white 32GB for use on Straight Talk with ATT. It better work! Coming off of Sprint that I've had since forever. Where's the 4G love Sprint??? No? Suck it!
Finally getting rid of my E4GT (Galaxy S2) that has been rooted and rom'd for so long I don't remember what it once was like. But now, I'm done with ROMing. I want pure google nirvana!

I feel very lucky! I got the n5stock text, fumbled on the google play website for about 45 seconds until it refreshed the device, purchased instantly. It's shipped now, I have no clue!

Just in case you get back into rooting and all that, the Nexus is the best phone to do so.

Same here. Ordered two. Tired of being a screwed over Verizon Wireless customer. So for me, this is not a test run. I'm all in! Between all of the options available with this phone, I'm sure to find something that will work. T-Mo is first on my list.

Ordered 32GB (black, of course) an hour and a half after release, in the UK, no problems.
I just want to thank all of you for the very entertaining pre release thread, which I've followed regularly, and today every ten minutes, ok, five. Not a very productive day..
I don't doubt for a moment that the 5 will be anything other than fabulous, as my 4 was until I got it rather wet.
Seriously, who would buy an iphone 5s (32GB) at 629 when the 32GB N5 is only just over half the price (339)?

For those who had it shipped, what did you buy and when?

Did you select the standard shipping or express?

I got one of each (so 4 in total). Three are spoken for. I couldn't decide between white and black so I got one of each for myself and will decide what to do with the extra once they arrive. One says it will ship by the 5th but the other 3 say "pre-ordered". I called Google to see what was going on and they assured me that all four will ship by November 5th since they were on the same order. I doubt that is assured but who am I to argue?!? I hope they are right and the other three aren't stuck in Nexus limbo because I could always cancel the order and place it again to get it shipped by November 8th.

Of course on Halloween! While all the adults are taking their kids trick or treating, SOB's! Actually, caught it 4 hrs after the cat was let outta the bag. Was having an AWEFUL day from before sunrise to sunset (less than 3 hrs. of sleep-first H2O that I don't wanna do a gd thing) --not getting into it... google came through in the clutch. It was the first good news all day- can sleep well now.

Oh yeah, I thought it went without saying, but forgot to mention: got the 32gb black. Been saving up for this one since my birthday from May! I've had options come along since then, but decided to hold out for the nexus5. (yup, the rumors go back to before then) So glad I did. Never spent 400$ on a phone before. Most I ever spent was 100, on a LG Motion 4g. Did the trick for about a year. My girl's getting the motion - Solid phone! Display is kinda shity, and tech is definitely out-dated, but it's quite a beast in its own right, especially with the fine work the devs on their forum did with LOKI and the Freedom Kernel. (Never got their CM10 gps to work for me, so I had a highly customized stock ics.-- again, thanks to the freedom kernel it might as well have been jb.) Glad the old phone's staying in the fam, but uber psyched for the N5.

I ordered a black 32GB one about 20 minutes after 2pm EST. Good thing too, because I've had no time to myself since.

I flubbed the shipping-- after my experience with my Nexus 4 (which I didn't succeed in getting when it first came out), I was blazing through, clicking. I managed to make sure I got a 32 GB, but I missed that there were shipping options (I had the impression that before it was always 2 day), so I ended up with 3-5 day. It's possible I could get CS to change it, but have decided not to mess with the order). 3 day from Lexington, KY may be close to 2 day anyway.

I'm just thrilled my order went through.

I did the same thing as you. The CS agents actually can't change it; I asked twice. Both people said that I would have to cancel the order and place it again.

I ordered a 16gb black at 2:04pm EDT. I got my email saying it shipped at 5:55pm EDT. I selected 2-day shipping, so I'm guessing I will see it Monday.

What size and color did you order? I have a feeling they are shipping the 16GB first.

It almost looks like the few that shipped are 16GB. My 32 GB one is "Leave the Warehouse Nov 5th." I hate waiting, but okay as long as they do what they sauy and don't wait longer. Could be we'll see more shipped tomorrow.

If it is the same as the N4 then it is a complete crap shoot. I had to have had one of the first N4s ordered and mine came 3 weeks after most people got theirs. My N10 took over two weeks to get to me after it said it was shipped so not only is the shipping order illogical but the status isn't necessarily accurate. It took two weeks for the N10 to be shipped after the tracking number was created.

Google is great at many things but HORRIBLE at logistics/sales and distribution.

Well that's BS if I don't get a shipping confirmation tonight or tomorrow, hopefully Best Buy will have them in and I'll try there.

Not sure if it makes a difference or not, but I made sure my shipping address and credit card were up to date several days ago. I also "verified" my account on the Play Store. I have no idea if that matters or not, but it's the only thing I can think of at this point.

Says it shipped from Mountainview, and I am in Ohio. I saw someone who said theirs shipped from KY...you'd think they would have shipped mine from there, no?

The receipt says "purchased from Mountain View." That's Google in Mountainview, CA. However, at least for me in VA, anything I've ordered from Google the past few years has shipped from Lexington, KY. I don't know if that is regional or not.

White 32GB.
Leave warehouse on 22 Nov '13

Meanwhile I've to put up with my Note 1.

I almost got the Note 3 but decided to wait for the N5 and am glad I did.

I ordered a 32 GB Black this afternoon. I saw an email from a financial site and went to the Play Store and was disappointed that the 16 GB models were out of stock so I got a 32 GB model. This will be for my wife replacing a flip-phone. It's also going to be her music player and probably a lot of other things.

I've been waiting for this for a while. Next up: which case to get?

My wife has AT&T Prepaid at $100/year. All I have to do is go to the AT&T Store to get the new format SIM and put it in her phone.

Yep...I just looked at the receipt again more closely. It's not a "shipped from" address. My bad.

All the excitement of the day has me worn out. Just ordered my SIM card. Now over to Amazon to get a case and then off to bed (where I will catch up on all these fun forum posts!)

People who were able to order it early or as soon as it was live, I don't think you should cancel your order or go to BestBuy just because it hasn't said shipped yet. If it still said by or before Nov 5 shipping, then that's around the corner.

Love my s4 on Verizon but I am a phone junkie and needed the nexus 5. Grabbed a 32gb black. I'll try a test run on T-Mobile before porting my number but kinda sick of Verizon's practices. Last on updates and the lack updates, no unlimited data and of course their refusal to carry the nexus line.

Just for a heads up when you get your Nexus 5 and starting using Hangouts, your circle contacts will show up from Google+ within the app, but you can hide individual contacts. So not a big deal.
