Is anyone using any of the following cases? if so, opinions? I want a thin TPU case.

Amazon.com: Diztronic Matte Back Black Flexible TPU Case for LG Nexus 5 - Retail Packaging: Cell Phones & Accessories

http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00FGQ3UI2/ref=oh_details_o01_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&tag=rnwap-20

Actually I'm considering the spigen cases now too, especially the slim armor one. have they fixed the issues they were having with that one does anyone know?

Does any one here have a smart cover case? I'm thinking about buying one.

I've ordered the spigen neo hybrid in silver and the invisible defender screen protector (because it has the camera cut out) will see how they go when they get here.

I'm looking for a case similar to one I saw for a galaxy S3. It's a wallet case without pockets, and the phone fits in a plastic bumper that attaches to the wallet with magnets. Removing and replacing the phone in the wallet is quick and easy with the magnetic hold. Smart wake would be preferable. I have no idea of the brand or style or any search terms that will make a case like this stand out from all the others. Suggestions?

As a typically critical person, I had the Diztronic TPU case for my N4 and had no complaints for a year. When I received the N5, case choices were limited so I waited until Diztronic's was available. I can't find any complaints to tell you about. Looks and feels good and it's been dropped a few times without damaging the phone. Very solid choice if you want a slim case.

This video shows a CruzerLite case on a Nexus 5 providing pretty remarkable drop protection. I wish they had some better looking designs though.

Also, is there a way to embed YouTube videos?

Got my slim armor case today and put it on. Seems to work really well. I like it, aside from the buttons lacking push definition (but that's always an issue for me with thick cases so I don't mind)

I have been using this one since i got my Nexus 5.

http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B00FJJ38HY/ref=oh_details_o06_s00_i00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

It works well and does what it says on the tin.
I recently took my phone out of it to give the case a clean (its a pretty good grease magnet) and realised how much thickness the case adds to it.

Has anybody got/used a bumper style case? IE just goes around the edges, no back cover, to keep the thinness of the phone.

Anyone try any of these chargers?

NEW QI Wireless Charger Transmitter MAT FOR Nokia Lumia 920 Nexus 4 5 | eBay

NEW Black Cylindrical QI Wireless Charger Charge PAD FOR NEXUS4 5 LUMIA920 820 | eBay

I'm curious about wireless charging, but I don't want to shell out $50 for one.

What do you reckon?

EDIT: Ordered two of these http://www.ebay.com.au/itm/190933184689?ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&_trksid=p398 4.m1439.l2649 (one for me, one for wifey). I'll let you bros know how they go.

I have not used either of those, but just started using the Anker one and have a Tylt one also. Both work fine with my Nexus 5. The Tylt one works well with the Nexus 4 too. Have not tried the Nexus 4 on the Anker one as of yet.

Default Best nexus 5 case is...............

The RINGKE SLIM. This case makes the phone feel....like a PHONE in your hand. It's nearly unnoticeable. There is almost no bulk added; it fits tight as a drum. Colors: black, white, seafoam. I have the black and white (my Nexus is the black/white 2-tone). The black feels a bit rubberized and is much grippier than the white, which is very slick. I prefer the black grippier case, but that's just me. The white looks great on the phone as well. Money well spent and it's not a lot of money!!!
Here is the link to the case:

I'm looking for an armored case for my Nexus. I work in construction, and deal with a lot of metal dust and flake, concrete, sawdust etc. I need something pretty rugged,,but not to the extreme of an otter box

My biggest concern is the metal dust. Every phone I use at work accumulates a lot of it, and I have to use a small magnet to collect it from the earpiece and ext speaker a couple of times a week. I see a Future Armor case on eBay that people seem to like, maybe some of you in the field can confirm that its decent or recommend something better?

http://www.metropcsacc.com/Metro_Shop_By_Handset/M_Huawei_Valiant/PRO1400

EDIT: A case I bought from MetroPCS for my Valiant. I would love it if I could find something like this for my Nexus. Kickstand and sliding holsters are things I really don't need, but more importantly, the silicone port flaps on this particular case did an amazing job at keeping the debris out. Still searching around Amazon and eBay, it sucks that the port covers aren't really a hot keyword in a search

Thx IA!! ~spec

Many have. While not much protection, they look incredible. I had one (back) on my N4. It was the first accessory I ordered for my N5.

I just ordered this: Amazon.com : Fosmon HYBO-SNAP Slim Fit Double-Layer Hard Frame Bumper Case for LG Google Nexus 5 - Retail Packaging (Black / Black) : Electronics
Seems like a pretty good deal for just over $6 shipped, but we'll see when it gets here

Just received the LG official quick case. A little expensive for a case but it fits really well, doesn't add much bulk to the phone and looks really smart

Edit: going to throw this out there, but I think there is a design fault with the official quick cover from LG. There is an hole on the front cover that when closed allows you to see the ear-mic. Why do we need this? Obviously the case would be open when recieving/making calls! Shouldn't the hole not be down the bottom so we can see the notification light when it is closed?

A mate of mine just got the spigen slim armour and it's really nice it is marginally thicker than the neo hybrid that I have but I think it looks and feels really good. The buttons felt fantastic (I know some people have had issues with the buttons but on his they felt great and were extremely responsive). I'm thinking about grabbing one in either gold or red.

Love mine too. I'd say go for it! If the buttons on yours aren't great just shoot them an email and they'll send you a new rubbery inner that's much more responsive

I got the case. Its nice fitting. One thing I didn't like and didn't know it had was a plastic screen protector built into the case. I cut that right out and really like the case.

I ordered a gold Slim Armor last night!

Spigen SGP LG Google Nexus 5 Cover Case Slim Armor | ULTRA STORE

This is the same store I got my neo hybrid from, they seem to have the best prices on Spigen stuff for Australian stores and they shipped my last case really fast so any Aussies looking for Nexus 5 stuff check them out.

How does the neo compare? I need to get some cases and I keep hearing spiegen, but there's so many cases that I'm just confused all the time

The neo is nice, it's a little thinner than the slim but once you get used to the feel of it in your hand it's fine.

The back scratches up pretty easy but that's going to happen with that matt finish tpu material. The buttons work great and I think it looks really stylish.

I haven't got the slim yet but my mate has one in black and it looks and feels really nice.

So the neo's back scratches up more easily?

This is my next question - my n4 supposedly had GG but I still managed to scratch the front easily, and I'm pretty sure of the cases I used managed to scratch up the back too. So is it likely that a screen protector is worth getting on the 5?

I've only ever used the Zagg ones for my LG Cookie (all them years ago) and that was the worst thing imaginable. I'm hearing lots of things about spiegen, mediadevil and some tempered glass ones...

Which, if any, is the best for clarity, feel/responsiveness and anti-smudge etc?

I can't say MORE easily or not, I haven't got my slim yet so I can't compare.

anyone else got any info on screen protectors?

I hear that those tempered glass ones feel nice, but is the screen hard enough to withstand normal use (I scratched my n4 within minutes of having it)

I've had my gold spigen slim armor for about a week or so now and I love it!

The fit is great, buttons are fantastic, I love the gold and it's not scratching/scuffing up like the neo hybrid.

I still think the neo is a nice case but I defs prefer the slim.

I got the ZeroLemon Zero Shock case. It is a rugged case with an extended battery (3500 mah). It feels like it will protect the phone very well and if the battery performs good this thing is a winner. The trade off is that it is big but I don't mind it for what you get.

Amazon.com: [180 Day Warranty] Zerolemon Lg Google Nexus 5 3500mah Extended Battery + Zeroshock Black/black Dual Layer Rugged Case + Screen Protector + Holster/kickstand: Cell Phones & Accessories

What is the screen protector like? Does it chnge the characteristics of the screen? Does it make the screen response to touch any different. Does it make the screen look not as bright or as clear?

I generally don't like screen protectors (or cases for that matter) and I get pretty crazy good battery life, but for some situations this is a tempting solution for not having to worry about how soon I can top off. The price is pretty reasonable.

The screen protector is not great, it definitely dulls the screen a bit. I may pop it out eventually. Sensitivity is ok but sometimes it gets in the way of pulling down your notification bar.

My experience with zagg was really bad. They were really plasticy and stopped my finger sliding across the screen.

Yeah, I know what you mean. I went with the "HD" one which is much better than the ones I've used from them in the past in that regard.

Can anyone confirm that this will work with my N5? I'd love chromecast but no Australian release at this stage

Mainly looking for something to throw content (i.e. YouTube etc.) to the TV from the phone.

No idea if that'd work, but I do know people were buying US Chromecasts and they were working fine in the UK. Hope that helps.

Oh and I've just bought a UK chromecast, they're brilliant! Would recommend to anyone, so handy to have

LG Nexus 5 Screen Protector | ZAGG
Went onto the product page - 1.7 stars. I'm really liking the sound of the Anker tempered glass one, but I'm on the fence as to whether I "need" one. Also wondering about how a case (I take mine off pretty frequently) would affect it.

Seeing as my naked 2 week old N5 hasn't even left the house yet, I might have to bite and get a case and protector very soon :P
