Default Camera app features I miss (are there better apps?)

Two features I *really* liked about my HTC DNA were:

1. The two buttons on the camera app (one for video, one for photos) so you didn't have to switch modes - those few seconds count when getting quick photos!

2. The ability to crop frames out of the video - the built-in gallery could snip a frame out of the video as a new photo, which worked great with the HD video it took.

Can anyone recommend a way to get these two features back (without switching back to an HTC phone right now)? I don't know where to start, but I'd like to avoid trying every camera app out there so I hope someone can point me where to look.

Thanks!

Unless I missed some configuration options, it looks like 'a better camera' does neither of the two things I'm looking for. Thanks though.
