I haven't transferred pictures to the Nexus 7 but have transferred videos. I just hook up the charging cable to my PC or Mac (you need the Android File Transfer program on Mac OS X) and drag and drop from the PC to the Nexus 7 - the Nexus 7 looks like a flash drive to the PC. For movies, the player app seems to find the videos though I do put them in the Movies directory.

I imagine that pictures work similarly.

I've been using drop box. I just upload pictures from the pc and can either transfer to the Nexus or just access them on drop box.

That's like calling downstairs with your cellphone ... Just plug in a cable to the PC and drag them across or copy and paste!

Depending on the situation, I find either Dropbox or AirDroid to be the easiest- even easier than using the cable!

Don't you have to do something on both N7 and PC to transfer them that way? Sounds like more work to me!

However, drag & drop from N7 to PC is always a problem for me. For some reason my PC(s) often can't see some files on the N7 even on the same directory. I may have 10 files in the 'pictures' directory on the N7 but my PC can only see 7 old files but not 3 of the more recent files.

When that happens my options are:
- airdroid
- BT file transfer app
- copy to a thumb drive and then thumb drive to PC.
- email to myself if the file is small.
