Default Black line across display

I have a back line that just appeared going left to right on my screen. I rebooted but it is still there. See the attached screen shot. Does anyone have suggestions on what to try next, or does it appear to be a hardware issue?

Yeah, must be a hardware problem. I don't know why I thought a screen shot would capture it. Must be too late, not enough sleep ;-)
