ive wanted to try out crome but i cant justify spending the money on such a low spec'd laptop (in comparison to a windows laptop) this is awesome!

Same here. I looked at the chrome books in best buy a couple months ago when I was leaning towards the Ultrabook style. I initially thought they would be great, but I decided I wanted something with a little more beef in it. I ended up buying an old Toshiba R600. It has got to be one of the first "Ultrabooks". Runs Ubuntu nicely along side win 7.
Never looked too deep into the OS, but I hear it is very efficient.

I'll pass. It might be more feasible on a 10" tablet tho.

I don't care how fast it is, when you lose functionality, what have you gained?
