Default Rooting a Nexus 7: Noob's guide

There really should be a separate step by step thread for noobs on how to root the Nexus 7. If the jailbreaker developers can do so for Apple, I don't see why Android forums need to make things so complicated and convoluted.

It's not in the slightest complicated and convoluted - unless you want it to be ;-)

Try this method :-)

yeah, with that kind of mindset, Help forums would never have stickies or even exist
Now, that link you posted: http://androidforums.com/nexus-7-all-things-root/581205-nexus-root-toolkit.html should be a sticky. Thank you for sharing

The All Things Root sticky covers pretty well everything you need, including a link to the root toolkit and the NZ tech freak guide - so it's effectively stickied already

Exactly. That's where I got the link, it's not exactly hard to find.
