I love my new Nexus 7. I was playing the original Angry Birds game, and while playing it seemed "jumpy", or "choppy". Does anyone know why?
That is weird. What version of Android do you have? 4.1 or 4.1.1? When I tried Angry Birds on the 4.1 version, the sound suddenly stopped working. But then when I updated to 4.1.1, it worked just great, no issues at all.
Hope this helps

I don't have that app, but I have noticed that just about any app can have strange pauses if you leave the GPS or a poorly behaved app running in the background.
I read somewhere that an absurd percentage of the processor/battery the game uses is for displaying ads (I want so say >50% that is a vague recollection). If you are rooted you could load up an ad blocker and see if that helps (or cut into your Play credit and try the ad free).
As an example:
I have Angry Birds Rio ad free and it runs great on my OG Droid all the way through my GNex (haven't tried on the N7 yet).
I have Angry Birds (free) and it is choppy on all devices when serving ads.

My educated guess is ads are the issue.
Thanks, not rooted, I guess I'll just deal with choppy awkward pauses
