Default Is there any way to "train" Google now to understand your words better?

I swear half of the time i use Google Now it doesn't understand me correctly. Is there any way to get it to adapt to your voice better? I have it as U.S english on the settings but it still doesn't work very well. It is so annoying.

Go into Google Now, then click the three dot menu button, and choose settings. Then choose Voice, and check the personalized recognition box.

I don't see that personalized recognition box anywhere. There are only four options once you click "voice" they are

1. Language
2. Speech Output
3. Block Offensive Words
4. Download offline speech recognition.

It doesn't 'like' Scottish accents in my experience

"Haw Google, that's no whit ah said, aw right"

Even my best attempt at Elizabeth Windsor's English has had issues. Guess I'm sticking to the keyboard then.
