Saved Google Maps compatible with Geocaching?
So I don't know how many of you have heard of geocaching, but it's basically a world wide scavenger hunt with GPS enabled devices. Someone hides the coordinates on the website, and people download those coords onto their GPS device or GPS enabled smart phone and go out an a hunt for typically a physical cache (usually a container of some sort, but it doesn't have to be an actual container either). Since I've gotten my Nexus 7 in the mail, I've switched over to using this this as my new primary GPS device for geocaching. I had used my HTC Evo 4G in the past, but bit isn't as accurate as the Nexus 7. The app I use for geocaching is called c:Geo. Last week, I used it in the field (so obviously no Wi-Fi available). I had downloaded a map tile from Google Maps in the area I was searching for caches and just assumed that c:Geo would utilize this saved tile so that I could see the map of my location. Turns out that when I opened the map view of my location on c:geo, everything was grayed out and only showed my blue arrow. So does anyone know a way I can make the two apps compatible with each other, or know of a downloadable app that can?
