Default Connecting a webcam

Does anyone know if you can connect a webcam to the Nexus 7? Android has some decent stop motion software but I'd need to be able to connect a webcam to the tablet to use it. If not, I'll have to use my laptop which would be much more inconvenient.

I have a webcam app that uses the built in camera and makes the N7 a webcam server, any other browser on the WiFi network can access the IP address and port and see the camera video.

The N7 is too big and awkward for what I plan to use it for. I need an actual web cam so I can move it around and get different camera shots.
