No Lag Until Shortyz Crossword Puzzles Installed

I have a 16 GB N7 with all updates installed. I also have most of my space still available (I don't have music, videos, large games loaded). I had absolutely no issues until I installed Shortyz crossword puzzle app. Lag hit big time. Multiple icon presses needed to start apps, etc... the usual "lag" complaints.

I deleted Shortyz and related files, rebooted, and everything is fine now. Too bad... I was enjoying the game for the short time I had it! I'm hesitant to try it again. I'd write the developer, but I have a feeling it's an N7/Jelly Bean issue. Does anyone have experience with a similar issue? BTW.... I have not disabled Currents... I didn't think I needed to as I was having no problems with it installed.

i'm running it with no probs... 16gb n7

shortyz 3.2.6, running liquidsmooth rc9 with lean kernal.

Ahhhh.... rooted. While my phone is rooted, I haven't gone that route with the N7 yet. As I like to "tinker", I imagine I will sooner or later. Thanks for the reply!

I have a 16 GB nexus 7 with stock kernel, and Shortyz installed. I am not seeing any lag.
