How long does it take to boot your Nexus 7?
How long does it take to boot your Nexus 7? Someone on another forum was claiming his booted in 13 seconds. I timed mine and it took 55 seconds to boot.

On stock I had to hold power button for like 30 sec then boot would take another 45. After flashing the dirty aokp rom I hold the power button for like 5sec and it boots within 30.

There's no point comparing your boot time to anybody else. Android fiddles with all the installed apps every time it boots up. Certain apps will add more time to the bootup than other apps. In general, a device with more installed will take longer to start up.
This is like comparing the time it takes to drive to work. Everybody will have a different time because they are going different distances. However long it takes me to get to work is no indication in any way about if you are taking the fastest way to your work.

When it crashes it sometimes takes me 2 minutes holding the powerbutton before it comes back to live (ok, maybe a minute). Boot up is about 50 seconds too ...

Sounds about right. My Galaxy Nexus running the same CM build is about that. Way better than my Eris running CM7, which took a good 2-3 minutes.

Time from cold start until appearance of lock screen:
- shutdown + reboot: 40 sec
- dalvik wipe + reboot: 144 sec
Stock kernel 4.2.1/JOPD - no OC'ing involved.
Dalvik wipe case re-creates 84 .dex files (11 from upgraded system apps & 73 user apps)
cheers

Re: How long does it take to boot your Nexus 7?
You guys can use autostarts to disable apps from starting at boot. This should decrease your startup time. (Just be careful what you disable. Disable the wrong system app and you may end up with a tab that won't boot properly)
note this app needs root to work
Also, a free alternative to this app is auto run manager. But imho the interface for autostarts in nicer, and requires fewer steps to view system processes
