I have a pair of plantronics wireless headphones I use them with my iPhone all the time to listen to music. I am trying to pair them with my nexus 7 so I can use them with it when watching a movie, listening to music, or playing a game. When I hit search for devices it says no nearby Bluetooth devices were found. Why it it not recognizing the headphones? They work fine and pair fine with my iphone.

There are different BT standards. Yours may not be compatible with the N7.

Maybe you need to make the BT headset visible first or put in "pairing mode" before the N7 will find it.

Review the BT headset's instructions.. Usually to put it in pairing mode, turn off the BT headset, then hold the power button for an extended time, maybe 5 seconds or more. THEN select "search for devices" on the N7.
