What do you mean by "getting ADB done" - I notice you are also referencing SDK.
Are you wanting to root your phone or do something else?
If it is the latter, should be easy doing it via Windows 7 (that is what I used).
Yes im trying to root. When i was at the video walkthrough on unlockr.com it mentioned i had to have adb done first. Tried that and couldnt get it done. Then read where i could install the sdk pack and just use that. Tried that too but i keep getting a install java message. I went too the java site and installed what i was supposed to and tried to run sdk again and still got the same message again. Honestly im lost. Is there some setting im missing within win7 that im not doing. I really try to follow directions to a T so im kinda bummed that i cant get this working. Thnx for any help that can be givin.
Tried using usbdeview to delete drivers. Says to sort by manufactuer,no column for it listed. Tried to delete everything that says Nexus one. it wont let me. Is there a more updated listing of how to do this on WIN7?
sorry to keep re-editing this but i still cant find where i messed up. I followed the video walkthrough as it says and nothing is working. Is there a more updated video walkthrough thats win7 orientated? are there other steps not listed that im missing? Again any help would be grateful, thnx.

Assuming you have copied the ROM and Google Apps onto your phone's SC card.....(you will need both, even though you aren't obliged to install the Google Apps).
Are you sure you wiped the phone memory, cache & dalvik cache through recovery? Hoping you also took a Nandroid backup.....
Once you have done all the wipes, try installing the ROM.zip again.
If this still doesn't work, try and get hold of an earlier version, as I have heard that some people had difficulty installing 5.3 on top of stock.....

Your there man. Just find older cyangen and flash that. Reboot. Flash 5053 and you should be Google to go. It happened to me to. Once I flashed 505, rebooted then flashed 5053. I was good to go.
ummm i dont think i did the nandroid thing. i followed the video step by step and that wasnt in it. guessing i messed up there. i did just download the googleapps part. That wasnt listed in the video. Can either of you give me a step by stepm as to what to do at this point? i really dont understand all the lingo right now so a step by step would help.
Ok phone booted up. whew!!! Just have to reload all my settings and such but at least it appears to be done. Sorry for being this new but thnx a bunch for the help.
