I'm curious to see how people layout their apps and widget on their home screens and how they have the phone customized! Saying as I'm very indecisive on how to best layout my home screens for ease of use I could use some inspiration!
If you don't know how to take a screenshot, check here:

Nice, is the Explosm icon an app or a link to the website?
I can't wait to get my N1 already, should be here any day now.. hopefully tomorrow. Vart köpte du din ifrån?
There's no way to take a screenshot from your device like the iPhone (lock + home button)? Damn. That walkthrough looks too long and complicated.
Not complicated at all. Download the drivers, click a setting on your phone, install Java dev kit, download Google code, open the UI for said code, go to the screen you want a photo of on your phone, click a button on the UI.
The instructions are purposefully wordy I think just to make sure you know exactly what you are doing, but it just looks a little daunting. Steps include "click the next button" and "check to see if you want to agree to sending data to google, it's up to you" (clearly not direct quotes). Really, the steps are very simple don't worry

It's a widget from the Newsroom app. Great RSS reader.
I bought my phone through the google webshop btw, but I don't live in Sweden anymore, I live in the UK, just like to keep a slight track on what's happening in my dear home country .
@FreshPrince, the wallpaper is one of the default ones. And btw, it's not THAT hard to take a screenshot, just need to follow the guide ONCE, then when you're done create a shortcut to the application and you can take as many screenshots as you like. Pretty handy that they're also saved in your computer rather than your phone, prefer that so that it's easier to put them online.

Uhhhhhm... when I do something with them? They're about as bland and boring as you can imagine
Would love to see other people's efforts though so I can steal ideas. I can't even organise my app icons into similar screens, though I have managed to make one my game screen..
Yeah, sorry if i sounded like an ass, that same question got asked sooo many times in the same thread it was crazy. Like 3 or 4 times on the same page of the thread even, people seriously couldnt even read the post or two above their own?! Sheesh
anyone know of a screen wide, but only 1 app tall weather widget? the Weather Channel and Weather Bug Widgets suck... Looking for a 5 day weather widget that spans across the entire screen, but only take up 1 row worth of height... hope that makes sense...

Weather Widgets is good and they have a donate version with more features called Weather Widget Donate. Looks like this
And Weather Forecast widget v2 by Francois Deslandes looks like this one

Don't get how you all got your screens so big, had to super downsize mine for the silly thing to let me upload them. Anyway. Just wanted to show off my much-loved wallpaper, apps are arranged neatly around the android

edit: sorry, I'm clearly not forum savvy (and can't be bothered to upload to diff site) so you'll have to lump the additional thumbnail blobs at the bottom.

I love your background! Made it yourself? It's stunning!

'Fraid not, yoinked it from a background app. Stupidly didn't save it, just clicked "set as wallpaper" and now I can't find it again. Is great for showing off the pretty screen!
EDIT: Almost for forgot, to save you the trouble the widgets that might catch your attention are: Battery Indicator - Puts a battery indicator on the notification bar. Has lots of neat options. Pure Calendar Widget - Fully customizable calendar widget with several themes to choose from. Daily Quotes 4 - Searches for quotes online with used defined search terms. Widgets with several themes, mine's simply transparent.

I like the wall paper but it looks washed out and like you said gloomy...
I do agree that the screenshots look washed out, which surprised me because on the actual phone it looks much better, more "calm and beauty" than "gloom and anxiousness" . Might change to a more uplifting background later, when I find one I like.
Except I believe Pandora is free? At least, it used to be when it was available in the UK.
You can get free Spotify for your computer, but it requires a £9.99/month subscription to use it on your mobile. Which was a massive disappointment what with it being near the top of my list of apps to get the second I turned the phone on.

yes and no. pandora is free for 40hrs/month listening, if you want more (unlimited) you have to pay, but its only like $3.00/month..either way its not too bad...not near £9.99
If you find out what Spotify is and how UKers can sync music for offline use, you'll be a little more ticked off
Yup From what I remember of Pandora you can't just chose a song. I have playlists of all my favourite ones and (because I'm using the free version) get a short minute long ad every 2 or 3 songs. Completely bearable and worth it. They just need to make it work for my phone for free.
Now, someone else post some screenshots! I keep getting excited when I see this thread has new posts, but noooo, absolutely no new ideas to steal from.

Long before the Nexus One launched, the media was filled with speculation, buzz, rumors, and excitement regarding the possibility of a "Google Phone". The rumors were put to rest when Google announced the Nexus One, the first ever Google ... Read More
