Default Q for Australian N1 users

I'll be visiting Australia over New Years and I'll most likely be bringing my N1 with me to use over there. (Unless a bag of cash lands in my lap when the next Nexus comes out.) It's the US TMO version. I'm wondering which pre-paid carrier will work best with it? I'll be there three weeks and haven't a clue what I'll be doing besides Sydney but I suspect I'll be getting out of the city a bit. I know in Ireland I used O2 prepaid and it was a really amazing deal.

Your phone will work on any GSM carrier in Australia for phone calls and EDGE data. The Nexus One uses 900/1700/2100 mhz for 3G (UMTS/WCDMA) data. Here is a list of carriers throughout the world and their respective 3G frequencies. Find the one that suits your needs the best. http://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_UMTS_networks

Yup, I already found all of that info. What I was after is actual user experiences. I know first hand that sometimes things are different than what is listed on a website.
