Default Anyone get their AT&T versions today?

How do you like it? I hear the reception is worse then the iPhone 3G when using 3G? I hear it has the lastest FW and radio ROM but if it still has bad reception this is most likely a hardware design.

That's not the case for me. Running strong and better then my 32 gig 3GS.

I had signal issues when I first started the phone but an hour later they seemed to clear up. Maybe it was just an issue with the cell tower.

Only two bars but speed tests give me 1.8mbps down and 400kbps up (ATT 3G of course) up so I guess having two bars isn't so bad on this device. I can give better input on it as soon as I get out of the office and make my way around on the freeways.

As for the device itself, it seems to work wonderfully. I'm still getting used to the OS but it feels great to finally have a non-butchered Android device on AT&T's network. =D

Damn.....now I'm wondering if I should stick with my pre-released N1, or try to sell it to drop my ATT sim in the ATT version.....I'm thinking I can deal with Edge, but have any folks switched from one over to the 3G that can confirm if it's that much of a difference and really really worth it???

I switched from a jailbroken 3Gs to N1/T-mo because I was fed up with dropped AT&T calls. T-mo service has been great and I have come to like the N1 better ... I also have been using the N1 mostly on T-mo's Edge service *just to save battery*, which is does. A lot of the time I'm on wi-fi anyway and the only time I switch it to 3G is if I'm away from wi-fi and want to surf, use GoogleMaps or something where more broadband is needed. I live part-time in Milwaukee and part-time in Clearwater, FL, and in both my houses, both AT&T's Edge and T-Mo's Edge signal is stronger than their respective 3G signals. For experimentation purposes I popped my AT&T sim into the N1 and it worked fine on AT&T's Edge. Also, for the record, the iPhone may show more bars of signal than the Nexus, but if you look at dBm numbers only, you will see the signals are the same with the same sim on a given Edge network. I wouldn't consider myself a power user and don't really need the 3G most of the time -- but it's nice to know it's there when I want it. [Other battery-saving techniques I've discovered in addition to keeping it on Edge are: Advanced Task Killer app; APNDroid app, JuiceDefender & a cool widget that lets me toggle between 2-3G real fast called 2G-3G. And I also bought the extended battery, and let the juice run out totally about 4 times then recharged completely each time -- my battery lasts super long now :->)]

even without getting half my apps back yet (Apps missing from market after switching to AT&T Nexus One - Android Market Help), I am SO GLAD I got the ATT 3G N1. I used the N1 on ATT Edge and boy it was slow. THis is like having a faster phone. It's seriously blazing fast on AT&T 3G in St. Louis.

Yeah this 3G is almost like wifi.

I want my missing apps back but I'm happy I switched to the 3G. Speed is everything and this device has it in spades!!!

It's the first day that the ATT Nexus One is available to the public and you "heard" all this? You should reconsider where you get your misinformation.

Got mine earlier today and made the switch to ATT. No problems with reception. 3mb down 1.3mb up 3g speeds not wifi, and no dropped calls (yet lol) in Los Angeles.

Hey All, I've had my nexus one ATT/Rogers model for 24 hours and I'm really liking it! It simply blows my HTC Magic out of the water in every respect except for maybe the senseUI.

One thing though is that Navigation does not seem to work in Canada!
