Unlocked doesn't mean rooted. it just means that the bootloader is now unlocked, which is one of the first steps in rooting. If you're not rooted, of course you won't be able to get root (superuser) access for any app. it sounds like you may be part way through the rooting process. please read the 'All Things Root' sub forum for your phone. This should provide the info you need to successfully complete the rooting process.
