So, Samsung didn't pay him or the magazine enough to get a good review. Meh.

They made a mistake on the front-facing camera spec, they said it has a 1.3 mega pixel.

But at least we have a 14GHz processor in these things according to the article spec sheet.

Wow! So PC Magazine can't even copy-type accurately?

I just have a hard time taking a review from a publication that contains errors in research (stating the phone has a 1.3 mega-pixel front facing camera, it is really a 0.3 mega-pixel camera), there was a bad copy and paste apparently, saying it is 14ghz (do they proof-read).

The reviewer also makes a blanket statement that NFC is a useless technology, at least in the US, as he puts it. Maybe he should state in the US it currently isn't very useful. But one of the points of a google phone is for development and test bed for things up and coming. There is already a developer that has a NFC settings launcher app, where one could get a few small chips for $3-$4 a piece. One useful purpose could be to put one in a car dock and have the app configured so when the phone comes in contact with it, GPS and bluetooth are turned on, the navigation app is launched, etc.

He might have had some valid gripes, but with the errors and what seems a little lack of research, I can't take a review like that seriously as it is supposed to be from a major publication.
