Default ICS Camera is horrible

On Gingerbread, default camera app was awesome, pictures were crisp and clear, but on ICS, it doesn't focus a thing, I'm so mad, I took some cool photos today and they are all worthless. Is this a bug, and what alternative camera app should I use until they release a fix for current ICS (is it coming by the end of the year?), because I dislike using alternative camera apps.
Besides, my ICS works perfectly, battery is the same, UI is amazing, and everything is awesome But camera, complete disaster.

That's odd as with ICS I noticed the camera handle high contrast areas a little better. Also, focus speed I found to be faster as well.

Maybe I am missing something. I tweaked the focus settings and it still sucks. Be happy man lol. I am now using pudding camera app and it's good.

my ICS camera is also much better than gingerbread - I even decided to start taking a picture a day because they looked so nice!

Here is a quick example of what type of result I'm getting from the Nexus S with ICS. Straight from the phone, no editing and some EXIF data for kicks:

f/2.6, 1/1000s, 50 ISO

Hey everyone... I don't know what happened, I did some reboots for other purposes, played on those settings again, and it seems that I fixed it. I really have no idea what I have done, but it's working And, the camera, is mindf***! So awesome, here is an example, I have a better one, on which you can even see a fingerprint lol, better than gingerbread!

P.S I don't want to open another topic, but, some of my wallpapers are gone (from the default wallpaper selector on home screen), and I read that this happened to other people as well, on previous versions. Someone said that these can be found with file explorer, I tried to find them with Astro but failed, where are those exaclty? Thanks
