So as everyone knows, GTA III is out on Android. I've seen people running it on their Nexus S but they had to download it via non paying means, which I really don't want to do.
If the Market says it's not supported on you device, there's no way how to buy it (OK, you can buy it from supported device, extract the apk and transfer it to your phone, but this is really stupid way and this way also probably needs rooted phone). Otherwise you have to wait for Rockstar to release it officialy for Nexus S, or google the apk (which is the not legal, but it's the easiest way for now).

I was really hoping to avoid that way. Hopefully Rockstar will provide the Nexus S users with a version. I've heard from fellow Nexus S users that the game works fine and doesn't even lag.
Say I could get the APK by buying it on a friends phone and transferring it, what about the SD data? I can't download it because of ISP limits. I could probably get it elsewhere though, but I have to wonder, is downloading just the SD data legal?

Is there a chance we will see a version though? It seems like Nexus S users have been abit left behind lately. I haven't even heard a whisper about fixes for ICS. I have heard the PowerVR version works very well with Nexus S. Still, on the ethics of the SD data, would that be ok to download at the very least? PowerVR works and the apk is irrelevant to the SD data from what I hear (meaning compatibility) .

Well ,if you got the PowerVR .apk version ,you can download the SD Data that the game requires from ...wi-fi ! It's the only way to ensure you have the correct data.
Well I can't get hold of the apk but I can get the SD data. I thought the apk didn't matter when it came to compatibility and only the SD data mattered?

There are a few apk's compatible with almost every phone ,but some are based on devices like SGS & NS [powervr] ,data has nothing to do with it.
And from what i saw ,there is no .apk for powervr yet
Well like I said, the .apk is irrelevant. There is SD data available for the PowerVR, and it specifically says is for the SGS. Apparently that is the version that also works with the Nexus S.
Well I don't know, I'm just saying that the SGS PowerVR data is what works with any .apk and I'm thinking about buying the .apk but downloading the SD data separately. What would be the legality of download just the SD data without the .apk?
Finally got this working. I put the SD files inside the folder labelled 'Data'. I have absolutely no lagg at all, however I have no sound! Any idea why guys?
I'd try it myself but like I said, I'll be buying it when I get the chance and download the SD data elsewhere (downloading on my phone on my network doesn't work too well for large file sizes).
EDIT: Incase the quote above doesn't work, try this:
1.start the app
2.accept the license agreement
3.It will ask to download data, press the "back button" once.
4.Now press "home button".
5.And start the game again using notification icon or shortcut icon
