Angry [Gingebread 2.3.4] Crashing keyboard

Hello everyone,

I have a nexus one with a crashing keyboard.
When i press a key, for example the P then other keys react and sometimes the whole keyboard just goes away and the home screen appears.

Made a video to demonstrate this: ‪Crashing Android keyboard‬‏ - YouTube

Any thoughts how to resolve this?

Is it in every text input box or just the text app?

A quick fix might be to install an alternate keyboard.

It is in every application that requires a keyboard.
What alternative do you suggest?

I am a big fan of Swype.

It installs a bit differently than a regular keyboard but you can sign up for it here: Swype | Text Input for Screens. Even if you decide to use something else, it's worth a try.

Tried it, but i need a dutch keyboard/spelling-check. Swype only supports ENG en CHI.

Any other alternative?
