Default Touch-to-focus camera app for N1

Hey Folks,

Started taking quite a few more pics with my N1 and I'm generally pleased with the default auto-everything but I would like to be able to have a little more control over the focus. Are there any apps out there that will let you either touch-to-focus or have a manual on-screen slider? And are known to work on the N1?

Thanks in advance.

Not that I know of but I know the default app has a zoom feature. Not slide, just +/-
I would also be interested if anyone knows of such an app though as coming from an iPhone 3GS, this feature is very useful to focus on something specific.

I tried this out on my N1, and I can get it to prefocus. Just touch and hold the shutter button and the camera will focus but not take the picture. You can then recompose your shot (while still holding the shutter button) and when you release the button it takes the picture. Works just like my "real" camera.

cheers for tip mrquietguy. You're quite right it does allow pre focus if you've got something large in the near foreground you can focus in it on that and then reframe to give a nice soft background.

Wish we could see how it focuses though, couldn't get my dogs nose in focus up close even with it filling the whole screen

I'm still hunting for that touch to focus app

If you have root then you can indeed use the desire camera and you don't need to use the desire rom. I would recommend using Cyanogens rom and adding the camera on top of that.

The desire camera has touch to focus and a slider to focus in and out.

I've been using it for some time now and LOVE IT!!!!

Good luck!

I've used the htc camera app too in one of my first roms, it had ttf and is a very good app in general
Also I want to add that you can pre-focus using the trackball as well as keeping your finger on the screen shutter button. Personally I find the trackball a lot easier.
