Good Evening everyone, my wife NC while she was reading it froze in place. She turned it off and then back on and the screen says Read Forever. I really have no clue as to what version it is running, and I assume that as the wireless is up and running, it got the latest update. I have tried the reboot sequence with no luck. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

If it's stock, you could ask B&N to check it out. If it's going to cost you money, then you might need to flash back to stock, which requires creating bootable sdcard and formatting data, which means you lose your books/apps and settings (but books/apps can be redownloaded).

Plan "B" would be to create the bootable sdcard and format cache, clear Dalvik cache, fix permissions and see if it fixes it.

Meanwhile, holding down the power and "n" buttons should power it off.
