Lol get Ur rest I assure u we will figure it out we shall put our heads together and prove that we can solve such issue! Lol anyways I switched back to bb6 here's what I got.



Just an idea have you guys tried clearing data on the gallery2.apk ? I mean it wouldn't hurt to try. But yea I will keep going at this I like the challenge of better understanding such issues on android.

wow, now im having a problem, what do i do if i just flashed the new aokp rom and the new gapps but the rom wont boot up, it just gets to the galaxy s III screen then it doesnt do anything anymore, what do i do?

can u check how many camera apps u have in system/app i was on a hunch about how it was possible to have more than 1 camera app in system then your device would be confused in which app to associate with your hardware. just a theory nothing solid yet.

Anyone having camera issues just rename your gallery2.apk to .bak and flash this sphere camera, and it works with all roms except stock. Sphere Cam Mod

I was gonna post that but shabby told me that it was better to locate the root of the issue than rather replacing it so I didn't bother posting Lol.

might work with stock if you flash the de-odex'd system

Okay. Fixed camera issue. For my phone anyway. I wiped cache, dalvik, factory reset, and system. Apparently twas not enough. I had to wipe data as well. You know the one. Big red triangle and says not needed? Wiped that and installed like normal. Wouldn't you know it my camera started working. Hooray. Hope it helps anyone else out. Just make sure all backups and anything you wanting to install is on the external card as this option will wipe everything internal.

I really want to flash this rom I am on 4.0.4 and I have cwm. Im just unclear of what I need to do before I flash this because I feel like I need to update to 4.2.2 or 4.1.1 but im not sure how to update. Could anyone help me out?

no need to update, doing an update to your system partition and kernel only to wipe it out with this rom is a bit useless

grab teh zip, grab teh gapps you want/need and flash away. make sure to do a factory reset in recovery

what modem does this rom have and can u flash a different modem if your having issues? Also how do I get the PIE look on the home screen were its a circle ? I looked in settings but cant seem to find

Not sure this comes with a set modem. Find shabby modem discussion and flash what works for you. The M2 or whatever works good for me. But that is me.

there is no modem, you flash those seperatly. and there is no pie in this rom thats paranoid android

Okay basically I am a noob to "romming" on the GS3 I just dont want to mess anything up. I am running 4.0.4 currently rooted with cwm. I want to get the Black Bean rom but I dont know if I need to update or what. And Im lost about the gapps... I just need it to be dummed down alittle please if anyone can help?

No need to update. Just flash ROM and gapps. Easiest way I would say is to download goo manager from the market. You can download the ROM and gapps from within the app. Then flash in recovery.

make sure to backup your current ROM in recovery before flashing anything

You do not need multiple posts. The directions are in the thread. Download the rom for our S3. Download the gapps (20130118 inverted are the newest I believe. As far as wiping, check the thread

Hey Shabby, just did some checking & the team baked site says bb8 is downloadable. Went to the file section & when I clicked it the file still said bb7. Is one of them a misprint? Is bb8 still in the works & not official yet?

I flashed BB8 and almost everything works great except of the fact that I don't get any service. I checked the mobile network settings but still nothing. Bad download maybe? Btw I reverted to carbon and I get service so it's not my nv.

same here i lost my phone number, min, etc...tried to nv restore but it didnt seem like it was going to reboot...just stayed on a black screen and kept buzzing every so often.

i restored my back up of big melons aokp and everything came back thankfully

Yep, my nv doesn't work either. Needs more work
Just went back & wiped everything again, & tried nvrestore again. Nope, didn't work.

Yeah, me too. My phone loved bb6. 7 was screwy. But I like the look of 4.2. Fixin to try cm 10.1 to see what it does in the meantime.

I need help am running this rom on my galaxy s3 from metro pcs. But i have a problem everytime i take a screenshoot with any screenshot app the screenshots just come out all black like if it was just a plain black picture. Screemshots just to work fine but this started to happen after i switched to this rom. Please help

Lol hey I tried everything. I sent a mssg here on twitter, & google+ they don't answer. I checked the other carriers & they all have bb8, except us. No luv for us it looks like lol
