Shabby can answer that better, but I'm thinking it may just be a typo when he put this thing together. But don't worry, you can be sure of getting the latest & best right here.

I'm having a lot of bugs on 1.05 I don't know if I flashed it correctly. I did my normal process (backup, wipe, flash, reboot) maybe I need to wipe cache and dalvik after? There's no straight up instructions on this thread. Gallery force closes, rom setting force closes

Sometimes that helps right after you flash the rom. & you can go into advanced (on twrp) & fix permissions. That will generally help too
Also, what kinda wipe did u do? Personally I go all out & take no chances. I do factory, system,& internal. That way there's nothing left to cause problems

Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe the Note2 & S3 are the same except for size. So anything that can be taken from the Note2 can be used on the S3. I know the camera works on ours, so why not anything else?

Framework is different. Note 2 uses a Exynos 4412 quad core, our S3 uses a duel core Snapdragon (S4)... so, some things can be ported over.

Chemistry is good but needs a kernel that is a battery killer IMHO. Plus has a ton of features built in apps I don't care for.

I don't know who made that comment and I find it very disrespectful To Shabby and his team who have made just about everything possible on this phone... My intention was never for people to start taking our development for granted and I feel I should apologize to Shabby and his team for people taking him for granted... My apologies Shabby.. I've always said that Shabby is a top notch dev and I'm very upset about this bs... Hence why I took down the links down and lock the threads...

Once Again I Apologize. SHABBY... I appreciate your hard work brother...

whoa what? please dont do this. i dont feel taken for granted by any means guys . dont let one comment ruin everyones night. honestly you cant please everyone, i dont expect everyone to like my work. my thought process is and always will be, if you dont like it then improve on it. if that means taking the time and learning how to do everything/anything then great! i always welcome people into the fold of contributing to the community.

you have spent a lot of time working on those roms and trying to make others happy because of it (if it was for you then you never would have posted it). please dont close down shop over someone not liking my rom.

The way I see it ur the real dev here and if people don't see that maybe by they should take a crack at it... All I did was ask for permission to post a link and made a simple zip... And only because of ur hard work was it even possible....

thank u shabby for ur hard work, and please keep it up because i know that if we dont work on a rom for our s3 from scratch there will always be something wrong. especially battery life, chemistry and goodness are both temporary patches for those itching for themes or multi window. personally im on morph because i need multi window for what i do otherwise i would be right behind you on metropolis because metropolis is the way to go. we love ur work man keep it coming and **** the haters

while i agree if they dont see how much work it all contains they should look into it. either way, you took the time to look into it and get something up. wouldnt you say you know more about android now than a month ago? why stifle that because of a single comment? to me that isnt worth it man . by having other options it means better choices for everyone. im sure everyone here would agree that you should continue on working

edit lol im not quiting working on the rom

Lol, drahma in the metro s3 community
Personally, i miss being restricted to a few roms.
After all of these roms become options, i felt like we seperated a bit. I really enjoy when a dev or two bring us a big old goodie and we all do our best to give feedback and get that rom to be its best.
I wouldnt mind if we all focused on metropolis but i think we're all just waiting for the official finalized update from metro.
I hope everyone understands that when we're all together is when we can all feel proudest of our toys and the progress we make

Ur a stand up guy Shabby... And I agree with u so I'll back off on locking the threads.. Since day one I've always preached that this community was so good and it pissed me off that I felt that I was associated with putting down Ur hard work... I honestly appreciate your work and just want u to know I have your back brother

1.03 the way I did it was like this install 1.03 over my stock rom without wiping then flash 1.5 without wiping then after 1.05 was installed then I wiped cache dalvik cache and factory reset and finally was able to install

1.0.5 will install so long as you have ANY rom installed. it should auto detect and say you have an incompatible rom and wipe data im trying to make it as streamline as possible so that people can just flash my rom no matter what and it figures out what actions to take based off what you had installed.

FYI shabby, when I first flashed 1.0.5 I was on bb7. After normal install I noticed I had two clocks, two calcs, three gallery's ect. A bunch of stuff from the previous 4.2 install was still there. Meant to tell you, forgot untill I read the last post.

for some like me i was on stock ics then flashed 1.0.5 it stayed frozen at the samsung splash screen for 4 min so i assumed wipe cahche/dalvik and factory reset wasnt enough so i wipe system and tried again but that time it said flash failed so i was like hmmmm let me revert to the 4.1.1 metropolis then flash from there and it worked.

So... I know this is one of the many same questions asked in this thread...?

I haven't been on metropolis since.. 1.0.2, I believe. just wanted to know what's working and what's not?? What are the pros and Cons ??

Do i need to do anything extra to get mms long text or even data working after flashing the Rom??
