Aroma installer is awesome.
Initial boot took about 3 minutes, much quicker than my old Optimus V roms.
Most of the bloat is removed, but there is some.
So far, no issues. Everything is running well. I'll see how the battery life is. I was getting about 2 days on a full charge.
Bloat I'd like to see removed:
PopHangover
Dropbox
Facebook
Gmail (I use the android mail app)
Google Play apps (music, movies)
Apps like YouTube don't need to be pre-installed, but I'd just install them anyways so it's ok.

Seriously? I flash, and an hour later you've got an update? Dammit. Do I need to re-flash the new update, or is there an easier way?

Ok, I would really like to try this Rom out and I'm not exactly new to flashing roms, however, all my phones in the past have been LG. This is my first HTC, and needless to say it is different. So, to my question, where is the boot.img listed in the intro, and what is the exact steps? I know how to flash in recovery, and I know how to flash from fastboot, assuming it's done the same way I flashed cwm. But I can't find a boot.img in the zip and do I flash the whole zip then boot back into hboot to flash this boot.img I'm supposed to have?
Sorry for the noon questions, if someone can just steer me to the right place I would be thankful. I've looked with no luck. Thanks in advance.

I'm not sure if you're getting a lot of feedback so I'll give you some.
The first time I flashed v3 I used the De-Sense tool shortly afterwards and it worked fine at first but for some reason my data speeds came to a crawl (1x) and the back felt really hot. So I re-flashed v3 and did not use the De-Sense tool and have had nothing happen since then.
I have actually flashed v3 a few times testing out different setups. I'm very happy with using the 5x5 3D launcher and have even had good experience so far with using the full sense version. Like I said, battery life is a little worse but not by very much.

Ok, for starters, I've ran v3 and cm9 for a few days at a time. This Rom has the best battery life of all of them. One of the reasons I left v3 for cm9 was the battery was not very good. I don't know what jmz did but it's great. Really awesome sense rom.

I couldn't get WIFI to work with this...Then I went back and re-read the instructions...Forgot to flash the boot.img from fastboot...(or to be more precise, the packages/Radio/CDMA/boot.img file...(Yes, I have the Virgin Mobile CDMA version of the HTC One V)...Flashed it using "fastboot flash boot boot.img:...This caused the phone to bootloop.
Tried restoring my pre-installation backup. The bootloop continued. Tried restoring several other backups I had, and the bootloop continued.
Finally, restored using the RUU file (RUU_PRIMO_C_ICS_40A_Sprint_WWE_VM_1.08.652.6_Radi o_1.00.00.0521_2_NV_VM_3.46_0503_PRL61008_release_ 262414_signed.exe), and the bootloop was fixed...Was then able to restore my pre-JmzOneV backup, and life was good again...
Any ideas on how to get wifi working with this ROM? It is an awesome ROM, putting that aside....

First there is no reason you should have boot looped after flashing ,y kernel. Second, the backup doesn't restore boot.IMG. so you would have had to fastboot flash your old boot.img. I will always advise to never use an ruu. Unless you are returning to stock for warranty. As for the problems you had I can't speculate because I wasn't sitting over your shoulder watching you. All I can say is try flashing my kernel from my kernel thread after you flash the rom

Thank you for your reply.
I've loaded TWRP v2.2.0 on my phone. Looks like my old backup included Boot. The first thing I tried was restoring that (i.e. just boot) using TWRP. Is that different than restoring the boot.img from fastboot?
I had seen a thread on here saying it was easy to "brick" this handset, and the "cure" was to run the ruu. Since mine was a bootlooping brick, I figured that would cure my problem...Didn't know ruu was taboo--seemed my only option at the time...
I've reflashed the ROM. Then I flashed your Jmz-PrimoC-kernel-ICS-20120820.zip (using Install in TWRP v2.2.0). Wifi still shows "turning on" for a while followed by "Error". What further info do you need from me to troubleshoot the issue?

Saw the part about extracting the boot.img and using fastboot to "fastboot flash boot boot.img". That step caused the phone to start boot-looping again.
Then I thought I was doing things wrong--i.e. I was rebooting every step of the way (flash ROM, boot to home screen--Then reboot & flash kernel, boot to home screen--Then reboot boatloader and use fastboot flash boot boot.img, then reboot)...So, I tried again, with *NO* reboots...The end result was a phone that boot-looped constantly.
Rats! Here's the info on my phone, in case that makes any difference...

I am having the same issue with the wifi
Under th e UNLOCKED it says S-ON
If anyone can help with turning it to S-OFF?
This may fix it?
First, we don't have a way to get s-off yet, so you will have flash the boot.img in fastboot. Second, for most of the kernels we have, you will have to flash the zip in recovery, then flash the extracted boot.img in fastboot. The modules for wifi are in the flashable zip. If you don't flash the zip, no wifi.

If you have already unlocked your bootloader,
you have the fastboot files on your pc. Flash
the kernel zip file in recovery. On your pc,
open the kernel zip with 7zip, copy the
boot.img to your fastboot folder. Reboot your
phone into bootloader, select fastboot on
your phone and connect to your pc.
On your pc, open a command prompt window
and change directory to your fastboot folder.
Type in the following code: "fastboot flash
boot boot.img" , without the quotation marks.
Make sure you only have the one boot.img,
or rename it to whatever you like. I keep
several different ones for different roms and
have them named for the rom they match.
Just replace "boot.img" with whatever you
renamed it.

Download the zip extract the boot img flash boot img in boot loader then flash the zip in your recovery. If you fail to flash zip in recovery you will not have wifi.

Is it possible to have the capacitive buttons back to original where far right key has the recent apps function? Also anyway to change up the carrier label?

Turns out This version of the Radio (which gets installed with OTA upgrade) can cause bootlooping with custom / non-stock kernels...
I had to reset my phone, using RUU, and then *NOT ALLOW OTA upgrade TO INSTALL* before installing custom ROM / kernel.
It turns out the OTA upgrade changes the Radio from 1.00.00.0521_2 to the version above. Since we currently do NOT have a way to SOFF the phone, doing the RUU reset is the only way to "downgrade" the radio...
