Default Worth Rooting?

I just picked up this bad boy for 50$ at Radioshack, and been tinkering with it and notice there is little to no bloatware on here. What are the real benefits of rooting this device? Any help is most appreciative.

Speed, performance, better battery life, getting rid of Sense. Just to name a few.

Well if you are willing to flash a rom after you root you gain what riggerman0421 said. Unless it is just me the One V seems like a pretty laggy device. Even Sense based roms seem to run faster and smoother than stock.
