What if anything have you done to the phone? Root? Anything? Whats ur location...How did the MEID/ESN get messed up? Let me know... See if we can get to the bottom of this...

EDIT: I ran across ur post on this.... Rooted and so forth... system prob? It could be... Try this Support # 800-373-2876 to see if there just happens to be an outage in ur area.. I'll look around for u...
I stupidly used ROM manager and received an 100mph brick to the face. Unbricked it then got zero'd out. I got service working but no data.

Well as of 5 min ago I have DATA!!!

Somehow my username and password settings got cleared as well.

I used HOW TO: Fully Flash an HTC Droid Eris to Metro PCS (Tutorial v2.0)
and started at the QPST part and used my phonenumber@mymetropcs user name and MSL as a password and got it to work!

After 5 days of staying up till 3am, chain smoking and reflashing, and reflashing and reflashing I finally got it to work. Now I can rest lmao.

It fell off because there were fewer flashes and in turn fewer accidents. Now with the flashing picking back up (PRL and 2.2.2 downgrades), it's needed again. If I had a spare phone to brick, I'd purposely 0 it and refine the process.

THIS DOES NOT APPLY IF YOU WERE USING THE LONG-ROOT METHOD FOR 2.2.1. THAT LOSS OF SERVICE BETWEEN STEPS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MEID.

How do I know my MEID is zeroed out?
If you happen to be using LGNPST, it's fairly obvious from the info on the right hand side. If you're just using your phone, from the Home screen click: Menu -> Settings -> About phone -> Status and look for the following:
My phone number: 000-000-0000
MIN: 0000000000
MEID HEX: A0000000000000
MEID DEC: 268435460000000000
Congratulations! You're zeroed out!

How do I repair it myself?
  1. Go to Android - whiterabbit.org and scroll down to MetroPCS on any Android phone
  2. Enter your MEID DEC from the sticker under your battery or on your box's label
  3. Keep the info that appears handy as you'll need some of it shortly. Write it down or screencap it if you think you'll need to close your browser.
  4. Google QXDM 3.09.19 and install/run it. It will ask you to download a version of QPST as well.
  5. Connect your phone to the computer with USB Debug enabled.
  6. On the Command Output tab, enter the following commands:
    Code:
    mode offline-d
    spc 000000
    RequestNVItemRead scm
    RequestNVItemWrite scm 0x3a
RequestNVItemWrite esn 0xXXXXXXXX (Your (p)ESN from WhiteRabbit)
RequestNVItemWrite meid 0xA00000XXXXXXXX (Your MEID Hex from WhiteRabbit)
    RequestNVItemRead esn
  7. Restart your phone.
You should now boot back up with service restored and your MEID back in place.

(Portions of this guide adapted from info provided by mrxkills. Not responsible for use other than noted here. Root responsibly. Void where prohibited. Etc.

If this fails to work for you, your other two feasible choices are: 1) Send it to LG claiming a dog ate the programming and 2) Take it to MetroPCS and hope you get someone who doesn't know what you've done to see if they can swap it out. It is not guaranteed to work for everyone.
okay so i was trying to install this program to my computer but it's not doing it so just one question, is it compatible with W7?

Ok Im stuck and really could use some help, I called metro pcs and got my mdn, min and sid numbers and have them programmed. Then my esn and meid was all 0's so I went to the link posted earlier and used qpst to input those. I now have all the information appears to be correct but I am stuck in searching for service mode still. When I go into phone in menu I get
Code:
sw version ms690zv4
PRL Version 65535 (which I am pretty sure is supposed to be 3019 or 3020)
ERI Version is 1003
STATUS MENU
Mobile Network Type - Unknown
Service State - Out of Service
Roaming - Not roaming
Mobile Network State - Disconnected
Any help on getting this to work would be great

Phone and internet are working like a charm, since i did the prl update. I am not sure why it fixed it but here is what I did step by step. I also have a samsung indulge and on their forum they have the 3020 prl posted to update it. I did a reimage of the phone using lgnpst.exe then I used that same program to push the prl update to the phone. next is used qxdm to input the esn and meid. Lastly I used ##626* with a service code of 000000 and entered the mdn min and sid metro pcs gave me over the phone. Hope this helps someone in the long run

I've been trying to get this guide to work for me. I went thru everything in this guide, now my phone number is 000-000-9858 and I have prl 65535... Is there a way to get this thing back working without a call to metro?

The phone number is working correctly for me...

The only error I got was on this command.."RequestNVItemWrite esn 0xXXXXXXXX"

It did not like my esn, so I continue with the rest of the commands and the phone seems to be working ok so far... hopefully it wont be a problem in the future.

If you skipped the esn and entered the meid you should be good. If the phone is working, check data to be sure its all set.

Whats the status of your phone? You did this tutorial and it didn't restore service? What phone number does your phone think it has, and what phone number does lgnpst show?

i did the downgrade to 2.2.1, rooted, then installed a custom rom without wiping, stuck on lg screen. did the dead battery dev mode 4 butten job and reset fone with lgnpst but all my meid and esn's are actual nimbers not 0's. wen i go to qxdm the scp 000000 line i get "SPC Result = Incorrect". i tried the msl from whiterabbit for the scp then after that all the next lines come back with errors like "RequestNVItemWrite - Error response received from target". so i got nothing. just a cool wifi android "a"pod for now. is there another way to edit meid and esn or zero it out on purpose?

If you find yourself in the state described above you just need a prl and then you can call metro and program the MIN

Tutorial: Manual update 3020 prl

Then you should be able to call metro from another phone and have them walk you thru MIN program.

With stock rom call metro from another phone and tell them you need to program.

Weird. You connected to it fine in lgnpst didn't you? When you chose you com and click ok does that box disappear?

Try using a different usb port, or even rebooting your pc...

Call them on it and pretend your on another phone and write down all the numbers they give you. you start with ##626* and enter 587846(i think) and it opens program menu, first number is supposed to be your phone number, second number is the one you need, just write it all down and pretend it all worked to the metro agent and hang up and go thru it yourself.

I love how they assume people are to stupid to do this and you have to lie to them to get your numbers, lol.

There isn't really any kinks to cm7, don't be afraid. Besides you now have your MIN and the know-how to completely restore. Just make sure your data is working before you switch away from the stock rom again.

I don't know what messed up your phone in the first place but it wasn't cm7, my guess is a bad recovery.

Just turn off wifi and launch your browser, if the 1x icon pops up top then you have data, no icon, no data and the page wont load.

I would use GNM or CWM. Just don't use Rom Manager to install CWM.

on first boot menu>cyanogensettings>display turn off screen on/off animations. Any other lag on unlock can be mostly fixed with a live wallpaper. Reppards rom has both of these by default.

Did you confirm in about phone that meid is zeroed?

Also it sounds like you might not be entering the commands properly. the meid needs to look like 0xA000043345746A
