No i used cdma workshop to retrieve it and QXDM verifys it but phone shows 00's. I think i have to do the last step of the downgrade tutorial but i cant figure out how to get a command prompt from android tools, I did it along time ago but cant remember how. The last step it says is to use it to copy over my info so i have service again.

boot the phone and goto settings>about phone and see if your number is there, it looks like it should be from what youve posted, prolly just missing prl to get service.
I tried installing the perl 3x using lpg and it says succesfull but phone still shows under settings about phone no perl, no min, meid hex meid dec network, mobile network type etc etc etc. wtf

easy way to get command prompt at the place you can use adb, on vista or windows 7 anyway
browse to the folder and hold shift key and then press the right click button you will get a menu and one item is open command window here.
Now if your not on vista or win7 you need to open cmd prompt by going to run and typing cmd.
when the command window opens it will be at your name. you will then have to use the cd=change directory command and go to the directory/folder that your adb is located.

if you did the guide from joneidy, which was at the time the only way to get rooted with 2.2.1 you need to put on custom recovery to get service.
check your meid and your phone number in lgnpst if they are correct you can just put on the stock rom from my guide, which is from joneidy by the way, that is pure stock then use ginger break, like you did z4root im sure.
No they are incorrect on lgnpst. Shows my phone # and my min #'s are wrong. Im trying to do it again though, another downgrade but i doubt its going to fix it.

i got all service back, my spc was not working anywhere so i did the "unbrick" 4 button method, lgnpst in emergency installed scr and eri files, then prl. after that i did the meid fix with qxdm. then called *228 to activate fone, they set min i think and now all is good.
yeah that should do too my method of fixing these when brinking was to flash the bin/tot file then write MEID with QXDM and flash with LGnPST again since that will load up all the carrier info needed in order to work..
If you encounter problems during flashing, upgrading or downgrading you may fall victim to your MEID/ESN being zeroed out. The usual cause is pulling your battery while stuck on the white LG Software Update screen.
THIS DOES NOT APPLY IF YOU WERE USING THE LONG-ROOT METHOD FOR 2.2.1. THAT LOSS OF SERVICE BETWEEN STEPS HAS NOTHING TO DO WITH THE MEID.
How do I know my MEID is zeroed out?
If you happen to be using LGNPST, it's fairly obvious from the info on the right hand side. If you're just using your phone, from the Home screen click: Menu -> Settings -> About phone -> Status and look for the following:
My phone number: 000-000-0000
MIN: 0000000000
MEID HEX: A0000000000000
MEID DEC: 268435460000000000
Congratulations! You're zeroed out!
Enter your MEID DEC from the sticker under your battery or on your box's label
Keep the info that appears handy as you'll need some of it shortly. Write it down or screencap it if you think you'll need to close your browser.
Google QXDM 3.09.19 and install/run it. It will ask you to download a version of QPST as well.
Connect your phone to the computer with USB Debug enabled.
On the Command Output tab, enter the following commands:
Code:
mode offline-d
spc 000000
RequestNVItemRead scm
RequestNVItemWrite scm 0x3a
RequestNVItemWrite esn 0xXXXXXXXX (Your (p)ESN from WhiteRabbit)
RequestNVItemWrite meid 0xA00000XXXXXXXX (Your MEID Hex from WhiteRabbit)
RequestNVItemRead esn
Restart your phone.
You should now boot back up with service restored and your MEID back in place.
(Portions of this guide adapted from info provided by mrxkills. Not responsible for use other than noted here. Root responsibly. Void where prohibited. Etc.
If this fails to work for you, your other two feasible choices are: 1) Send it to LG claiming a dog ate the programming and 2) Take it to MetroPCS and hope you get someone who doesn't know what you've done to see if they can swap it out. It is not guaranteed to work for everyone.
@Darnell0216: Thanks, man! Although I was unable to restore my phone to service using this method after using the ROM Manager brick method, I was able to use this tutorial for the greater good after my new Optimus M arrived! (Can't let the old one sit idle, now can we?)
I too am on step 6 of the op, and can't get QXDM to connect to my phone and thus can not type any commands into the command box. Yes I did install QPST.
I used LGNPST to flash the stock rom, and it says the phone is on port com15 however in QXDM when I go to Options>Communications the only thing in the "target port" drop-down is "Disconnect" however the GPS server port drop-down does have options.
I'm running Windows 7, if there's a compatability issue (I had to tell Reggie to run in XP SP3 compatability to get it to register a dll earlier in the whole hair-pulling process.)
If worst comes to worst this brick will become a $100 baseball.

Don't baseball it. It's not even a brick man. If it powers up at all it is 100% fixable.
Launch QPST config, click add new port, a window will open, uncheck the tick box and more options will appear. Select the option that says Diagnostic, now go back to QXDM and finish what you were doing.

Thanks undercova, getting a MEID on there is almost as satisfying as smashing something. I don't have a phone number, but I may be able to trace that one down (The PRL is something dumb too, but I have 3022 here).
I understand that it's not a 'brick', but a phone that doesn't make calls is of little value but now I have hope. At least this whole process fixed my wifi, which was the whole reason for trying this at all.
If you're in the So.Fl area some time (and old enough) I'll buy you a beer or something.

I wrote a guide on fixing your number on my old account that was banned. The guide is not 100% perfect and I can no longer edit it, read all of the posts in the thread for more info:
If you have any questions feel free to PM me. I've had my phone completely zeroed out a few times so I'm pretty much pro at this process, it's not too bad if you made it this far you will definitely be able to figure it out.
I'd take ya up on the beer, but being a broke ass Michigan resident I see no time in the near future when I could afford to hang out in south Florida, lol.

I didn't relize that was you...what happened to your account?
I'm trying to be good here now, and I am pretty sure the mods have figured out who I am, so I don't expect to be banned again. 2 accounts was enough, I lost a bunch of good info in my personal messages, I can't fix my OP in the MEID tutorial, and I lost all them thanks for the flashplayer tut, heh...
I just gotta try and click that report button instead of telling people why they are being an ass, lol.
After I type in my esn and meid, it still doesn't work. I keep getting the same error everyone else is getting but only with these two. My phone still has no service and everything is listed as "unknown" on my phone status.

The esn command will not work, skip it and just do the MEID one, if your in QXDM and it's letting you enter console commands your definitely writing to the phone, do this whole tut over and skip just the write esn line, this should get you a MEID, service will still need more programming probably.
I don't understand where to enter these console commands, or how to confirm whether it's accepting them. The command tab doesn't exist, just a command box at the bottom of the qxdm window. QPST recognizes my phone on com 1, and my settings are the same for QXDM, but I'm unable to figure out where I should be entering the commands, and seeing the dialog the phone returns back after executing a command. Can anyone help ? Screenshots would be a plus. QXDM Loads by default with "REX Core Dump" in the "view" dropdown menu. If it matters, I'm running Win 7 x64.

Reason: decided to give steps instead
to everybody whos having problems with meid ive been tryin to fix for 2 days this morning i found that the problem was i was putting the wrong meid in the white rabbit website -_- . use meid (dec). and when you use command on qxdm the esn doesnt really matter i fixed it in less then 5 mins
Just thought I would share this!/Restoring Service so freaking simple.
So I was once again tinkering with my LG Optimus M, mind you the new one I got after screwing the other one up. I was trying to Flash Custom recovery when, BOOM!! my phone reboots and hangs at the logo screen. I could not get my phone to soft reboot with the little android man, noir would my computer recongnize my USB. I finally put it into S/W Upgrade mode, just so my computer could recognize my USB and I could then use LGNSPT in emergencey mode. I did just that and wouldn't ya know it? I am all zeroed out with noooooo service !! I sat there for a few thinking of how creative of a lie I could tell my local Metro. I THEN GOT THE CRAzY IDEA TO ACTUALLY READ THE HELP FILE THAT I DOWNLOADED WITH LGNSPT!
When ever you use the Emergency Mode of LGNSPT your phone automatically creates a backup file of your phone complete
with ESN, MIN, etc... like a mini pic of your phone before
you did whatever to screw it up. If you are Zeroed out,
in LGNSPT click on the Tab that Says DATA RECOVERY
and find the file thats says MS690_Com9nvs or whatever type of phone you have. It should basically look like what I just typed above and end in nvs. If you glide over it you will see its time stamped to reflect when you went into emergencey mode. Load that file click start and you will 4 sure have service again!!!. I don't know why I didnt do this in the first place. Look in your phone log if you can't find it right off hand.
Sorry for the lack of punctuation. Its been a long night.

Im telling you guys this works. There is no need to go through all the steps above using QPST, QXDM. LGNSPT has it's own Unbrick tool.
You just gotta do data recovery if your Zeroed out of whatever.
I will be providing screen shots. It's a pretty simple procedure. If your phone was working perfectly fine before you tried to Root or Flash and your hung at the Logo screen try this. The only thing is that your computer has to be able to read The USB. More than likely if your hung
at the logo screen it wont. You MUST boot the phone into S/W upgrade mode. Your gonna be get Zeroed out, no doubt about it if you Flash in emergency mode. Follow the steps I listed above to restore data to your phone. Let me know if it works!!
If you where rooted before you bricked then you will still be rooted once you
do data recovery. In a nutshell, LGNSPT has it's own Nandroid back up and recovery

And the wife took my phone....I'm looking for work and without a phone is really hard, jajajaja I should not laugh about it! Any help will be great. Thanks in advance
The good news...QPST sees the phone now! but now QXDM gives me a "license not valid for this msm, Contact tech support MAC:00-14-D1-22-OE-C7" I know you are knowledgeable because all your info got me this far so please help me finish it. Thanks again to all you, specialli to darnell
