Ok when I open openapn I don't see anything it just shows all blank llike there's no apns on here? And I even restored the stock one I backed up
I think that on the Ascend this was an issue. You had to manually enter the settings. And I think that on my optimus (I hope) this is the issue as its an easy fix.
Like I said, for Weeks no mms, then I checked the apn
settings and the metro pcs option wasnt checked. Quick mark of the circle and all was good.
Hopefully all you need is to have that filled correctly by choosing a new apn then filling it out accordingly. If nobody has the proper settings off hand I can put them up here for you early tomorrow.

That would be great if you could post the proper settings. When I went and looked, I had two MetroPCS selections so I just picked one and selected it. It would seem as if it worked cause I was able to send a picture to my wife's phone (also an OM) and then receive one from her phone (I had also made the selection on her phone). I'd like to see what the settings are, I didn't change or add any thing, just selected one of the two MPCS options

This is a great rom. Though, so far, since I've flashed to this, I've tried the MMS patch, deleting telephony.db, backing up and restoring my apns (from two different roms), and typing in an apn similar to the above. Nothing has really worked for me. I do notice that my apn list is always empty, even after I restore or type one in, and the telephony.db thing continues to reappear every time I reboot.. I'm not sure what's wrong with it. Can someone please help me? Thank you.
Is it me but when i view the sms app. I dont see anything like <MMS> or multimedia?
If you are talking about sending one from within the SMS app, start a thread with the person you want to MMS and push the menu button. Attach a picture to have the SMS app automatically convert to a MMS.

No im talking about viewing the apk system file. The AndroidManifest.xml ... Ive read over the apk xml for both after mms working and mms not working. Idk what could it be.. Theyre both the same so yeah.
First off this is a great ROM I really love showing it off.
Please help!!! When i try to change any of my Cyanogenmod Sound settings they immediately revert to default. What can I do?
Also i like using the "Brightness Status bar tweak" but recently my phone has grayed out the option for it because it says Auto-Brightness is selected, but theres no Automatic Brightness setting in Cyanogenmod anymore. How can i disable this to use the tweak?
Aside from those things and some apps like Camera 360 not working I think this is easily the best 'current' ROM for our phones. Thanks

I don't have time right now myself, but I think someone should be pulling files from this new update and finding whats new, seems it's helping with FC issues and reboots on stock phones, maybe it has some updates we can merge into cyanogen builds...

I was just about to post a thread about that. Lol. Um I think what really makes this 2.2.2 build different is its kernel, since the kernel's build date was recent, as in 11-2-11. (maybe even the build.prop, but I'm sure that's very similar to the 2.2.1). If there was some sort of way to extract the kernel from the phone and flash it over a CM (even without the ability to OC) that would be pretty awesome. I'd be willing to test this. Is there any ways to pull a kernel from a phone?

Reason: spelling fail. haha.
Has GPS been fixed in this rom yet? I recall seeing a post that GPS wasn't working through the built in receiver but would over the network.

Hey Bob. I keep getting a unsufficent memory on this device error. And parsing package error. It happens for every 5mb and up app. But when I install the same app from sd card to phone, it installs. Any suggestion?
Try moving and/or deleting the 01mvdalvik file out of init.d, located here: /system/etc/init.d/01mvdalvik, clear market cache and data, reboot recovery, wipe cache/dalvik_cache, reboot.

Also, is there any way I could get a working xml file for the apn list? My phone has a blank screen for the APN screen as well. I know I could try flashing and reflashing a stock rom but maybe I can avoid that and restore an xml file directly?
An app called MarketFix. I think all it does is move Market to the SD.
Try the fix I posted a few posts up, it will fix your issue also.

Yeah, I thought the LG Optimus would have it, and was very disappointed it didn't when I bought two of them November 2010. Would make workouts go faster!

Hey Bob. Just wondering. I got my phone clocked @806. I havent had any reboot issues and all but. My phone only has like 50MB out of 300MB running. Yet it seems as if it were clocked @128.. The phone becomes really unresponsive saying system not responding to force close and launcher force close and all. I have flashed this rom about 3 times now and still get the problem. Could it be the phone? Or something corrupt?

I tried your fix first but it didn't work. Just to be clear I did manage to get it fixed using that MarketFix app I linked to. But deleting that file and doing dalvik cache wipe didn't fix that insufficient space issue.

I want to get MMS working on the phone but I was wondering if I could just add an APN file first so I can try out selecting MetroPCS from the APN list which is currently completely empty (not showing any options to select) I read that for some people selecting MetroPCS from the APN list fixes MMS so I wanted to try that first before doing the whole process of loading up teamchickeneater's stock ROM to get the APN backup list from there.

My rom comes with the proper APN file for MetroPCS.
Try formatting everything EXCEPT SDcard and re-flashing my rom.
If it still don't work...flash a stock rom, use mms, and re-flash my rom.

Ok, I was able to get MMS working. Here's what I did.
I had downloaded the MetroPCS MMS 1.3 Fix zip file (attached), went into recovery and flashed it.
This now gave me the option to select an APN service in the Open APN list which was previously empty. In the list there should be three options: MetroPCS internet; metropcs wap.metropcs.net; and one named Congro MMS or something like that.
For some reason when I went into each one of them to check the settings, both the MetroPCS Internet and Congro MMS listings disappeared, but the one titled "metropcs" remained. Thats the one you need anyway.
So after selecting this option and rebooting the phone MMS still didn't work. So I went ahead to the list again and changed the password to mymetro as BrandonOptimus mentioned, Saved the settings, rebooted and voi la! MMS works great and fast. I didn't need to reflash a ROM or wipe cache!

Yeah, if that works, that'd be awesome. I have a wired headset that came with my work Blackberry and I'd really like to use that; especially while I'm driving.
