How is that going, any issues?
is it possible to replace system images and things with Photoshop edited images to give it a new look although there old roms? change things up a bit. It will be so awesome to have backgrounds on the system menus as you're going threw them.

for the battery, use a battery calibration app like this one that might help. This erases any misleading battery stats left from previous flashed roms, therefore letting the phone read the correct stats.
about the model name ... no idea lol
Thanks for the advice. I'll run the battery calibration as soon as I can.
The biggest problem is the camera. If I cannot figure out why this is happening, I will need to switch rom's. I found two CM7.2's, one by Playfulgod, and the other one by BobZ. So I guess I'll flash over to Bobz's and see what happens but at last resort. I hope someone can give me a idea why this is happening. I use my camera allot. I've tried downloading other camera apps and still same result. I've tried with OverClocked and without. All still same results.
If someone has any idea or a way to fix it I would love to hear from ya.
BTW: thanks for the fast replys. You guys are really the best!! I've been only flashing/rooting phones for only 20 days now. so ya I'm a noob, but I'm getting better becuz u guys..
ya. I sound like a butt kisser but hey! I meant what I said.
Thanks,

--- UPDATE ---
Reflashed my phone with BobZ's CM7.2RC0 03242012.. Worked like A charm! It fixed the camera and everything works.. Except I cannot find the Play Store... I see the Play books and etc but no Play Store.. So I'm gonna reflash the gapps...

I'm just about to go back to Kelso's Easy Rider rom, that worked great except it was back to 2.2.2.. But I would really miss the DSP, and tweaks and more..
I used the gapps-gb-20110828-signed.zip. should I reflash it with the 20110613? Getting tired of losing all my apps and settings. oh well, the price we pay for modding it
---EDITED/UPDATED---
NV Found a way to fix it... just booted back into the recovery, wipe dalvik-cache.. worked perfectly
---Not Fixed---
wow.... I was able to install one app fine, then I tried another APP and its back at "Package is invalid"... WTF?!?!?! Stupid PHONES!! haha
well I guess until I find a perm fix.. I guess I could always wipe dalvik cache then install a new app or update.. hmmm this bites.

There's a fix for that, look through BobZhome's CM7 thread, search "to fix market"

Is there anyway to download CWM besides ota? I'm trying to flash a phone I had sitting in a drawer (Optimus M) that doesn't have service. I've already rooted it and installed rom manager.
Can anyone provide a link?

You should be able to search the web, from your computer, for CWM, and then find a link to the versions that are avail. Remember, for the Optimus M you will need to select the CWM for the Optimus C. The 2 phones are the same and use the same CWM. Down load to your computer and then transfer over to your phone. You will then have to use the ADB command line commands to flash CWM, but it can be done. Course, if you have the Optimus M connected to a wi-fi network you should still be able to use ROM Manager and just flash the CWM. It'll work.

After a week and a half, I'm starting to get FC's in the process of MEDIA.. (ie gallery, and such) and once in awhile the Browser. Camera is working fine. but I don't know why the process of .media is FC'ing.. Should I attempt a Fix Permissions in the Recovery menu?

NEVER! That causes more force closes, instead you should do this:
Open terminal emulator app (if you don't see it, download it with Play Store)
type:
su
fix_permissions
reboot

Did it, and still getting FC'ing on "android.process.media". Hmm. I guess the next step is to get rid of all the pictures (move em to the computer) to see if maybe a corrupted picture is causing the FC..

Try this, backup entire SD card to computer, format it with recovery, load phone and see what happens.

Sounds like an idea. Got a question, what steps would i need to take to change part of my 16gig SD to cover more internal memory.
hmm maybe that didnt sound right.. using a2sd by darktremor. after I format the SD, run a2sd and have it setup i.e. 5gigs for apps? is it that simple or am I missing some info. Just thought I would ask the experts.
anyone know how to install the a2sd scripts (I couldn't even find them anywhere)

I figured out what was wrong. The FCing of process.media was due to Overclocking too much. By chance I was checking settings and noticed one the kids set OC to 768.. So I changed it to 729.. And presto! No FC'ing.

You cannot put it into recovery mode? power + vol(-or+) and home key I believe? (I got so used to using quickboot pro app that I forgot the key combos) haha
Well that's a problem when your using setcpu and trying to use cyanogenmod performance you have to use cyanogenmod performance or make them both the same speeds and settings. If not cyanogenmods will keep changing
Hey guys, haven't been here in awhile. I need help again lol. Well my issue is that my camera app keeps popping open and i thought i broke my phone when i fell skating. I don't that's the problem, i think i need to update my rom. Can someone please help me. Thanks.

I just keep getting some crap error message about thunderc and the asserts. I did disable asserts but it didn't help. The problem still remains. I'm running on Froyo 2.2.2, CWM, Rooted of course and everything else. I just don't see where it's going wrong. Hell I even tried deleting the line of code that causes that, but instead of the error showing up it will just say installation canceled. I followed every step right down to the dot on your wiki Playful... This is simple shit though, I'm very literate when it comes to tech. Anyone that could shed some light on this problem, would be in my debt. I'm looking forward to using this ROM. I really want to be able to use the Jelly Bean UI without having all those extra apps running in the back. I could do that with this ROM right?

What are you trying to flash? I'll help you make it flash. Links please
@Sammyz CM7-OM - PlayfulDroidz Wiki
It's for my LG Optimus M MS690 Running 2.2.2 & before I updated to 2.2.2 from 2.2.1 I had the same issue. Regards, J.
Note - It's not that I've followed out the process improperly, there's just a issue with the ROM or the Recovery. Either or... I haven't tried different versions of CWM, though maybe I should? Don't really see what difference it would make though.
Last edited by jajarem64; October 15th, 2012 at 02:24 AM.
Yeah, I've already got the latest CWM via Rom Manager, I even flashed the latest recovery manually using ADB shell. No matter how I do it or what I use, I still get the same error about the asserts.
I really appreciate the fact that you took the time to help me. Though, I only trust official releases from the original software creators. Just a rule of thumbs for me. I did do exactly what you did, I deleted the first line of code in the updater script before I even posted here and the flash just gets canceled.
