I need the gtalk apk.. my phone wigged out on me. And lost market. Etc... and I'm not home to get a new rom to flash it. But I'm trying to do what I can from my phone lol..

Not available door testing yet I'm having sync issues with the source.. But I believe I have everything ready to go once the source completes syncing. I've looked at bobz changes and applied what I could to the optm. Just need the ics source to test

Tripdoc, for your module issue...you need to add your grandpa modules to android_build.

Yes, your using old modules that need to be added to the list in android_build
The ones in my example are probably the ones you need to add...the V and the M are very similar.

Ok new error with build/core/Makefile:25: Prebuilt apk found in PRODUCT_COPY_FILE device/lge/thunderc/files/apps/CarHomeGoogle.apk:system/app/CarHomeGoogle.apk try BUILD_PREBUILT instead!. Stop.

Error fixed had to change product_copy_file inside Makefile inside build/core/Makefile to BUILD_PREBUILT
Well good news its compiling now. I just gotta wait a very long time for it to build lol.

Ok new error during build. But I'm sure I'm getting closer. Error is
Make: *** no rule to make target 'out/host/linux-x86/bin/soslim', needed by out/target/product/thunderc/obj/lib/libdl.so', Stop.

I been using yours. Its not apart of the vendor? I changed everything to optimus m inside the device_base.mk. and just wondering when it builds is it using a stock kernel or oc kernel?

I have the Optimus M and am running 2.2.2. I have seen on other sites that 4.0 will be rolling out for my phone. Does anyone know when, and do you know if it will be an OTA update or something that you have to go out and look for? Any info is apprieciated. Thanks.

Whatever you hear I wouldn't trust it. LG promised 2.3 for our phones and we have yet to receive it. Instead great developers like bobzhome, Playful God, and reppard gave us 2.3 and cyanogenmod. So once the developers you see talking here right on this thread get the bugs worked out, they will give the forum 4.0 or cm9. And no, the devs that I listed are not the only ones. Which BTW, thank you to every developer on here for what you have contributed. I appreciate your work and am more than willing to help you out with anything that I can as compensation since im broke..

Just wanted to know is it normal for it to say "no private recovery found for thunderc". It still builds I'm try it once again for MS690 build. Just wanted to know if that was normal at begging after "make". Here is my Gtalk. i will list my errors here as well but it would be easier to do chat over gtalk. regginhanger@gmail.com. i can help with what i know. so far. i am currently trying to build the source again. thanx to BobZhome for his files and help. and currently helping others start building as well. Have a Nice night everyone.

Ok after getting your dalvik this is the error that came up.

I recently became the proud owner of an Optimus M that I can use for testing. =) I don't want to brick it or lose it; I still use it as a wireless device that does things for me. It is my little electronic minion, but it is available so hit me up if you want me to flash something. =) I have a 2.2, one of the older ones. It's running Bobz CM7.

Some thing is wrong there...things that are commented(#) out should not be used.

Like the arm_CPU_abi. That was commented out.

ok well i been. trying to figure out this error but no luck.

does anyone have the original dalvik for ICS?

So i have been reading and its something to do with the dalvik.

Ok im trying to fix the error now.. i have figured out what i have to edit and fix.

ok so the errors i believe i am getting is in the JNIHelp.c or the JNIhelp.h. the variable JniThrowExceptionFmt needs to be added somewhere.

If someone has the original dalvik for ics can they please gihub it. Please and thank you. For your support. Reason I ask is cause that would mean I would have to repo sync it again.

I forgot to mention building for arm5 I still got the error from networkutilities.cpp

well after many days of not being able to sync past 99% with the repo, i finally have the source again. so i will be resuming where i left off and working with ghost and maybe picking bobz brain a bit to get this done. thanx for everyones patience

I wanna get my phone ported to ics. To see the new interface. Lol. It's taking awhile but it should come sooner or later

yea I want it too, but not enough to want the headache that CM n Bob etc are going thru to get it lol. Porting CM is enough for me
