Problems with batery life and CM7? Try this!I'm using CM7 tickerguy B0.8 And Mantera's overclocking
I'm using CM7
And Reppards r.O.C.K overclocking kernel.
Brightness on the lowest setting
Governor on Conservative in the Cyanogen MOD Performance Settings
Min CPU= 245 Mhz
Max CPU= 729 Mhz (I use this setting you might find varying success and can go lower if you want)
Juice defender Ultimate = Aggressive
Juice defender Ultimate 50% battery threshold
Juice defender Ultimate Configure APPS
Set all apps that need Data/3G to enable (gmail, pandora, browsers, etc)
Set all games and apps that DON'T NEED or you don't want to have connectivity to disable
Set pandora to enable w/ off so radio stays on when screen is off
8.Download Battery Calibration and follow the instructions
TIPS:
Delete all the extra non used widgets
Move apps to sd card
Go to airplane mode when you have no signal or your not using the phone
CHARGE WITH THE CORRECT CHARGER for your phone!!!
TURN SCREEN OFF WHEN YOUR NOT USING IT( Set it to go off automatically) based on preference
Uninstall all the extra crappy apps your not using
When your playing a game go into airplane
Turn your wifi off or I recommend having JUICE DEFENDER ULTIMATE control it!
SHARE YOUR RESULTS!!!!
After making your settings mods download CPU SPY. Use this to monitor if your phone is going into deep sleep when not in use.

Are you using the latest build from Reppard. Cause I heard it had somewhat bad battery life. But I saw no problems...

The sharp drops tell me you had the screen off for hours at a time. How's the battery life with actual consistent use?

before i used screebl, it didnt matter if used it alot or a little, i got about 10-12 hours max.. what screebl does is put everything to sleep when your screen turns off, so it depends on the user, but my girl uses it on her htc hero and went from 8 hours and dead, to almost a day.. it works very ell.. even if you use your phone alot.. i dont use my phone as much.. im usually staring at a computr screen lol

Thanks for the share, but there really is no need to go through all that and sacrifice such and such just to save battery life. If you're using CM7 the Optimus M already has good battery life and performance and all of that extra work is really not needed. I have my CPU set to a Min of 245 and the Max set to 787. I use my phone heavily through the day and I get a good 20 hours out of it..
I also leave wifi on at all times when im home because it actually uses less battery than 3G, because when 3G is on it constantly searches for towers which ends of up using more power. I have my WiFi sleep policy set to never, so it always stays on when the phone is sleeping which ends up saving a ton of battery because 3G stays off as I said and will say it again 3G uses more battery power than Wifi. Of course I turn off my WiFi when im not at home or at a place where there is a strong wifi network.
You provided some good tips, but as I said that really isn't needed, its too much. People should be just fine if they do the basics such as turning of haptic feedback/dialtones and having the screen timeouts set to the lowest with the brightness at about 50%
Thats how I get 20 hours out of my phone with heavy usage.
