Default Getting into fastboot

Hey I wanted to know if there's any way to get INTO fastboot mode without flashing a bad recovery image.
I want easy in easy out, I tried quickboot from market and selected bootloader, it just reboots like normal
I also tried root toolbox and does the same thing.

there's no button combo either, is there?
unless u have to plug it into usb to get into it, like how u get it into download mode by holding camera+ vol down+ back key and plug in usb chord....I figured out that u dont have to press the power button to get into it, same thing for getting into custom recovery

yea ik, I tried with plugging in USB but still no way :/ there's gotta be a way to purposely get into fastboot, I'm sure the LG designer knows, it would be very useful for the dev's whenever a new update comes out....

So, I've read through this, and I'm curious why you want to get into fastboot? I know the couple of times that I've done it, I've been glad for joinedy's method of getting out of it. What does going into fastboot do for you?

If you could get into it without being rooted, you could flash custom recovery without having to be rooted since the bootloader (aka fastboot) is unlocked, but u can only get into bootloader by screwing up recovery while being rooted in the first place....

If you could flash recovery via bootloader and were not rooted, u could backup a nandroid copy of the non-rooted stock ROM and give it to the devs to see if they can use it to help them root the stock ROM (idk if it would help or not for the devs; but if you didn't want to go through the trouble of downgrading, you wouldnt have to anymore)

yea, we all saw it as a screen of death, but really it's probably the only reason half of our phones aren't bricked.

You'll probably have a better chance of finding out about the Optimus S on it's forum.

Ah, having never been on the OS forums, I wasn't aware that they were dead.

As far as the similarities of the OV and OS, I honestly have no idea.

If a member needs help and you send them to a forum other than the one for there phone you need to remind them to bring the discussion back to their own forum once help has been found. Okie Dokie.

I kinda think the Optimus U/V/S should be merged......
And Optimus M/C merged. But Ok, I'll do that.
