Sure I will help
Can u plz post the output of this :

command

Code:
adb device
see ur device if preset

then
Code:
adb shell
now u will be greeted with a sign like $

then issue
Code:
su
then
u will get a prompt like to allow or deny permissions

ALLOW the permissions !!

then the $ will change to #

now

Code:
cat /proc/mtd
u will get some output !!
post it here !!
I will tell the further process after it

for if u know , I am trying to obtain ur device's mount points

then I will obtain the stock dump which will be used for all development releases

Default Command

I tried using the "Terminal Emulator" application to enter the first command in your list and my response was "permission denied" could this be a root isssue?

If after issuing su command , you do not get a prompt asking you for like "allow" or deny its a su issue...

btw if that was the issue, how are other programs working with root ??
try to shift default action from Superuser app from prompt to allow and then try

Well that was a awesome job

I got what I wanted and ya the wrong thing you did was :
the command is

Code:
adb devices
Well u have android 2.2 right ?
Ok so now next stuff :

Now what we are doing is , Obtaining a mirror copy of everything on your device ...

It is termed as stock dump

Now to ease out the task i have made a .bat file for you ...

* extract the stuff I have sent you in any place
* you will find a folder named "files" and another file called "run_me.bat"

just connect the phone in Debugging mode
make sure you have least 600 Mb of free space on your sd-card ..

* just double click on "run_me.bat"
* it will do its task

Now your device will Restart <-- Do not worry i have said him so

* this is a very big thing to do hence it will require least 13-14 Mins
* Be patient ..
* Your device is extremely safe you have no reason to worry ..

* Now once the software says "Done"
* you will have a folder called "images" in your SD-Card
* Just send me the entire folder.. It will have contents like boot.img system.img etc

NOTE : I have not configured ur phone to provide a copy of data . My intentions are never bad

the images are of the other partitions which have content like system , boot, recovery etc and NOT of your user data !!

always remember never give ANY ONE on with your userdata dump
it may contain your passwords and other stuff

Now you will find a folder inside your sd-card named "device-images"
send me that folder in-fact upload to " mediafire.com " and save for everyones benefit

the folder will be huge ...
you can use 7z utility to compress the folder and then upload it ...

The utilities are here :

Dump.zip

Actually I'm running android 2.3.4
It's a stock version on this phone (LG Optimus Net) lgl45c it's a prepaid phone by net 10.

Should I still run that file? Or is there a different one you have for 2.3.4?

I also have a rooted lgl45c (via unlockroot.exe) however I havent been able to find any confirmed working and (or) beta roms. If you need any additional help grabbing any info to start building let me know if I can help get it off the ground. Eager to see some cyanogen stuff first hand.

Hi,
I am aware there is a craving need for your phones !
I have asked one of your members for the Backup from Recovery or the Stock Dump ...

I need stock dump for creating a ROM ,

No one has yet provided me the stock dump for the creation of one ...

I have mentioned the instructions on the same thread but no reply yet ...

Btw if you have a custom recovery, you can simply backup ur current ROM and post the lik here ...

go to the lg website for the usb drivers.
i used a program from unlockroot dot com.
i would have posted links, but I'm new on the boards so i can't.

you can also find a guide to rooting your phone on this site.
http://androidforums.com/optimus-net-all-things-root/443725-optimus-net-all-things-root-guide.html

I was just wondering if any progress has been made on the custom ROM for this phone as I own one also and have been searching for a few months now for a custom ROM also any links to a working custom recovery for it would also be greatly appreciated

But we already have a clockwork mod recovery as well as cyanogen mod 7.
Here's the link to custom recovery:
[RECOVERY] LG Optimus Net Clockworkmod 5.0.2.7 - v1 - xda-developers
And to CM7 by jst :
[ROM][DEV][CM] CyanogenMod 7.2 for lg p690 (Optimus Net / Optimus Link) - xda-developers
CM7 by karandeep:

I have it working and would be glad to help you out.
First of all download and put flash_image and recovery.img in sdcard/
Also download terminal emulator from play store.
Using es file explorer long press on recovery.img go to properties and select show checksum . Tick md5 and select calculate. This should give you a mix of numbers and characters. Compare it to the md5 sum given in the thread it should match exactly. If not download again and try.
Open terminal emulator and type su and press enter. The $ should change into # .
Now copy paste these lines as is.
# mount -o remount,rw -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
# cat /sdcard/flash_image> /system/bin/flash_image
# chmod 755 /system/bin/flash_image
# mv /system/etc/install-recovery.sh /system/etc/install-recovery.sh.bak
# mount -o remount,ro -t yaffs2 /dev/block/mtdblock1 /system
# flash_image recovery /sdcard/recovery.img
# reboot recovery
If you get file not found error ignore it and continue.

Default Taking forever

I am trying to get the stock dump out so I can help develop a great ROM for the LGL45C (Optimus Net) from Net10/Tracfone/Straight Talk, and have ran the .bat executive, but it has gone on twenty minutes since I started the thing and it is sitting there going through the part that states, "THIS will take a very long time" and goes no further.

Also it provided this:

Hi Ninadchaudhari, my lg l45c is rooted, has cwm and is now stuck in a bootloop in CLM recovery and wont boot back to phone, only to recovery. The lg net has 2 diff op systems, 690, and lg l45c. (this is what this thread started with) I think this is what you got the original dump for and we all need a rom for. IF YOU COULD HELP IN ANY WAY WITH A WORKING ROM STOCK OR ROOTED I WOULD BE FOREVER IN YOUR DEBT. THANK YOU IN ADVANCE.

Not having the same phone but can help you.

Before doing anything,
take a Nandroid Backup because your phone might become an "Expensive paper weight"!

Boot into recovery by pressing and holding down Home + Volume up + Power buttons simultaneously.
Select 'Backup and Restore' from recovery's main menu, then select 'Backup'.

Now if something goes really bad (e.g. your phone's battery died when flashing ROM)
you can restore your ROM by using 'Restore' option in Backup and Restore in recovery.

Now you're ready for flashing you ROM!

1. Download the ROM you wish to flash.

2. Put the ZIP file of ROM and others (may include kernels, fixes, GApps) in the root of your SD Card i.e. /mnt/sdcard

3. Boot into recovery.

4. From Recovery main menu, select
Wipe Data - Factory Reset
Wipe Cache Partition
Wipe Delvik-Cache (From the advanced menu in main menu)

5. Now go to 'Install ZIP from SD Card' from main menu; then select 'Choose ZIP from SD Card' and Locate your ROM zip and flash it. If you don't need to flash other ZIPs then go to step 7.

6. Go to 'Install ZIP from SD Card' and flash other items in this order:
> GApps
> Fixes (if any)
> Kernel (if necessary)

7. Reboot

The LGL45C has 800MB ram with 400-420mb usable while booted up.
Thats on my 2.3.4 AreaRomQ v2.1 i haven't looked into being able to free up more ram though.
