my second post in this forum and already got a tough nut to talk about. My optimus P500 as served me well over the last one and a half years but a couple of days ago it was stuck in fastboot mode when I switched it on. Causality very unclear, I did not attempt any dodgy stuff, reboots. updates or whatever. Hard reset and emergency mode combinations do not work.
I know there are hundreds of posts on this topic, on this forum here as well (seems to happen to quite a few people) and I`ve probably read and tried out half of them. However I can not get it to work again. This is because my computer does not seem to recognize the phone any more (yes, I´ve got the drivers and I used to connect the phone to the computer a lot when it was still working).
If the phone is not connected to the computer the only thing it does is flashing the LG icon, when I press the power button). Once it is connected to the computer, I´m usually being informed on my desktop that the usb device is not recognized because it malfunctioned. Meanwhile the very well known line comes up:
fastboot mode started
This really only happens if the cellphone is connected to the computer. The ongoing text flow I´ve read about in other posts does normally not happen (it has happened once when i plugged the phone in).
As I said, recovery methods keep going wrong because my computer doesn`t seem to be able to access the cellphone. For example if I try a recovery over cmd (like shown here: Unbrick LG P500 stuck at fastboot mode due to bad recovery image flash
), a message comes up: "waiting for device".
What do you reckon? Can the phone be saved? If you have a solution for the problem or now another discussion where this problem has been solved, please help me, would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks in advance for your time and help,
