CM7 first time install

hello. i just installed cm7 on my lg optimus s. i turned it on and the lg logo flashes then the CyanogenMod 7 skateboarding android appears. the circle loops for a bit then it stops. is this normal for a first time install and how long should it take?

First boot normally takes a while.
