Do you think it would work to use the No Computer Method to root the Optimus Slider phone?

I don't think so... this method is based on Gingerbreak, and Gingerbreak won't work. So there is no magical app.

Although if you CAN download Terminal Emulator and poke around you could theoretically run all these commands via shell on your phone. It would just be hella hard.

Sucks that you can't root with Gingerbreak. I wonder why Gingerbreak works for the Optimus, but not Optimus slider.

Long story short, they fixed the leak. So when you root with SuperOneClick, it will use the zergRush method, not the GingerBreak one.

(GingerBreak is both a method to do the rooting as well as an app. If ZergRush were made into an app then you could theoretically use it instead... but they haven't, so you can't.)

When I type in (the terminal emulator) "chmod 777 flash_image", it says "Unable to chmod flash_image: No such file or directory", any ideas why? I even
