Default Optimus V superuser deleted

First time posting I have researched a lot about my problem and can't seem to fix it.

I have optims V, new hitachi screen virgin mobile. I have Backside IHO cyanogen mod 7. Kernel 2.6.32.9-v3.7 bobzhome. After rooting the phone using clockworkmod recovery everything worked fine with superuser for the exception that I forgot to install Gapps so when I reboot everything deletes and the microphone is faulty. Now I am trying to install or flash a recovery so that I can fix things but superuser deletes itself and when I re-install it I have no superuser permissions to run anything. Using terminal or command denies permission as well. The other thing is that it seems that I missed installing a recovery as the phone NEVER boots into recovery using the vol, home and power keys. Using boot checker and titanium backup which is what i used to back up, says that my phone is not rooted.

I would appreciate any help with this since I know there are many wise persons here. Thanks.

Soo you somehow have unrooted backside rom... Press and hold Volume down + home + power you should either get into recovery or if your recovery partition is really borked get a blue fast boot screen

Thanks for replying. The recovery key combination does not work on my phone as stated on my question neither does fastboot. It shows some text but quickly reboots the phone and then turns on.

I'm assuming you are doing it from powered off right? What about emergency mode? Volume down + back + plug in usb? If at least this works there is a way to fix it

You enter recovery by pressing (while phone is off)
Volume down+home key+power key and holding those until you're in recovery.
If all you see is a black screen, then you are in fact in custom recovery...

Yes I do get to the black screen but not like before. Before I rooted and flashed the phone, it would stay in recovery but now when I do the vol, home, power combo it shows the LG sign, I let go and then it goes black and shows some yellow letters at the bottom and then reboots itself back to the LG sign. If i press the keys again it does the same thing. If i do not press the keys the phone turns on fine but with the same issues as before which is superuser deleted and no permission to run flashes or roms.

I read somewhere that I am able to flash the stock rom from the emergency menu which is the only menu that works resembling a recovery menu but I'm not sure where that ROM would be.

Try rerooting with this Rooting
Then install a custom recovery (do not use ROM Manager!)
If you need help to get recovery after rooting, continue with this thread.
Also install optimus v drivers on your computer first and reboot after installing the drivers.

I will try this but i don't know how to install this I guess with file manager and hopefully I will not need superuser permission because superuser deleted itself long ago.

To use that reroot program I'll have to roll back the drivers installed on my computer from 3.7 to 2. something it seems.

I tried this easy rooting technique and it seems really good but it hasn't worked for me. It says that I have more than one device connected or something and superuser was not installed. I don't know how superuser was deleted but I really need it. Even when i download it it still doesn't work.

Ok guys thanks i will try to reroot this way and ill see what happens. The best thing sobfar is that when i put on emergency mode my phone microphone works again. I may try leaving the phone on emergency mode and let it keep downloading whatever it was downloading because it fixed one issue at least.

It doesn't download anything while in e-mode....only if you do something on your end....

No you can't. The only thing you can do while in e-mode is unbrick, which will zero out your MEID and lots of other stuff.....it's the last thing you want to do.....try doing gingerbreak if you can't root with your computer here: [App] [26.04.2011][v1.2] GingerBreak APK (root for GingerBread) - xda-developers

O Wow thanks I didn't know all that about emergency mode that it's only used to unbrick. While my phone is not bricked, I recently tried the gingerbreak.apk file through my phone and tried to root it but the gingerbreak program just keeps running the exploits etc and the phone never reboots it just keeps running for a long time and never roots the phone. I am running out of options and I would leave the phone like this but every time I reboot it because the screen freezes sometimes, I loose all my apps as no GAPPS is installed and phone runs on cyanogenmod, backside without having superuser.

Did you ever install gapps?

If you still have a custom recovery just flash a custom IHO ROM. Go to the All Things Root Guide ^ look in the github as well. The Harmonia IHO doesn't require the gapps. All others use the same Gapps mentioned in the Guide for the IHO ROM's. All IHO ROM'S have the su binaries and the Superuser app. No need to reroot as long as you have a working custom recovery.

I would of told him to do that but phone won't stay in recovery, it quickly reboots and goes back into phone....
