After getting Quattrimus on my OV and being very pleased, I went to get it on my wifes OV. Well, I'm running into a problem of the phone constantly rebooting, it gets to the main menu. It usually happens after the phones been on for 20-30 seconds..
Anyone know why this would happen, my phone is fine and runs great..just can not figure out why it would be doing it on hers..

Are you overclocked?. I use interactivex governor set at 480/600,and it runs smooth.
if your not oc'd, relash. Make sure you wipe everything 3x. I use leslieanne's prep for new rom wiper, and wipe everything manually. Ics is much bigger than our little V's! Any residual data is going to cause problems. What kind of SD card do you have? The little 2gb card that came with the phone is pretty low quality.A good 4gm minimum class 4 is much better!Do you have an ext partition set up?

I want to put quattrimus on my phone and was told that i had to partition my sd card to
3 EXT first before flashing and the 2gb card is not big enough, is this true?
Also I've read that you can't overclock to much depending on your specific device.
Sorry didn't mean to get away from the op's question!
So if this is all true, i'm waiting to get a bigger sd card and learn how to partition it, i don't have a PC. I also read to install a wiper to insure a good clean slate before flashing.

I used the factory card...and was shocked when it crashed and I lost everything on it!
I would not use less than a class 4 4gb card. If you format the new one with cwm, it will let you set up an ext3 partition painlessly.
Your oc depends on your v and which quattrimus you are running. I could get to 768 on cm9 and 806 on aokp . Just try it out...you can always fall back on a nandroid! By the way, MAKE A NANDROID!!!

If you don't set up ext3 you will more than likely get problems, just format SD card with cannibal recovery, it does it automatically

Always backup first!
So do you mean if i get a bigger sd card that i can partition it in recovery?
Thanks for the info!!!!
I hope something here helped the OP!
I got ninjad by sammyz, which is a good thing, so your saying put cannibal recovery on my phone and it will do it for me. Can't get easier than that!!!!!!!!!

Reason: sammyz ninjad me!
Any custom recovery has the option to partition the sd card. It will only make it ext.3 so it will not work on the stock ROM and the BACKside ROM, but seems to work on the ICS ROM's, and maybe some others.
Again I must caution members on the use of the Cannibal recovery. It has a problem flashing some zip files (I had first hand experience with this problem). The Touch recovery doesn't have this problem.
Put it and the Xionia v1.2518.6 in it's zipped form on the sd card. If you have any problems with a recovery loop you just need to flash the Xionia recovery then choose "reboot recovery" in the advanced section. Then go back to the advanced section in the Xionia that just loaded and choose the "fix recovery loop" option.

Thanks for the reminder Andy, i do remember you posting this before! That should be stickied!!!!!
I'll put the xonia on my sd card like you said.
I have to wait to flash anyway because a good friend that lived in the apartment next to me moved "he was letting me use wifi" which i can't afford right now. No problem, i'm in no hurry backside is running smoother than ever!
Now what do i do if i partition my sd card and flash qauttrimus is it difficult for a noob to go back to backside cm7!
Make a backup of your currently installed ROM in the recovery. If you need to go back to it, just wipe and format everything you need to do to flash a ROM. Then go to the restore option and choose the backup you made of it. It will have a date/time stamp. Hint: when you get done with making the backup go back to the restore option and jot down the date/time stamp for that backup so you will remember which one it is, or download ROM Manager and go to the Manager Backups section and rename the backup to whatever you want.
Note: The backups are stored on the sdcard in a folder called "clockworkmod". If you need to delete one it will be in the backup folder, or download ROM Manager and go to the Manage Backups section and delete the one you want.

Well once again Andy you've answered my questions in such a way that i can understand with ease and i know that i can trust what you tell me to do. I don't know if you get paid to do this but i certainly think you should!!!
I hope some day I'll be able to help new members half as much as you. I'm trying to learn, but beginning to think like that old saying goes "you can't teach an old dog new tricks ". Hopefully i will prove that wrong. THANKS AGAIN ANDYOPIE 150 -_-
I'll be fifty next year. Two years ago I knew nothing about computers. Last year I knew nothing about smart phones.
I am living proof that you can teach an old dog a new trick or two.
